And an unfunny one at that.

Am I the only one pissed at this change with the GOG homepage? Not only is it buried at the very bottom (Ok, that bit hasn't changed I know, but it still annoyed me somewhat even then), but it's both ridiculously short and awkward to navigate.

At least the old section had a slightly longer history, I could scroll and look up things almost a month old. This one doesn't list anything older than a few days.

But really, my biggest problem with all this, is the disappearance of the sales list pages from the homepage. With just 9 entries, the weekty sales announcements gets pushed out blindingly fast, and the only way to get at 'em is either from the email link or from the forums. I can't access it from the storefront, and it pisses me off.

Apologies if I'm just dredging back up some old topic, but I wasn't able to find (easily) any thread dealing with this topic.

I dunno. I think it's a bit redundant nowadays. GOG banners the sales and new releases on the page, what more do you need?
Can we maybe meld all of these threads into one?

You mean all 39 titles on sale right now? (When there are really 67?)

What more do we need? Maybe a link to the Weekly Sale somewhere? I mean, that's still going on right? It has fallen off the news feed already.

Games>Price>Discounted.

Who needs to look for sales?
I would voice my opinion but the do-gooders don't like it when I do. Yes, it's a mess. Definitely needs fixed.

A glance at the old news section was much faster than clicking through the giant banners or waiting for them to switch. And there are other kinds of news than just releases. Of the "Good News" variety for one, sometimes much more pressing for the users to know than a new release.

Agreed. I also find it very hard to track new releases/news articles since the design change (among other things).

Darvond: Games>Price>Discounted.

Who needs to look for sales?
The specific function you mentioned, is known to be broken for years.

Many newly added games in a promo, just do not appear on Games>Price>Discounted.

And some promo have "select more games to get bigger discount", the feature never showed on Games>Price>Discounted.
It does seem odd that a promotional sale doesn't really get, um, promoted. I don't mean giant banners and such for the Weekly Sale (a la Thronebreaker <cough cough>) but there isn't really any indication of the relationship of the discounted titles such as we often find in these sales: publisher, genre, whatever the common theme is.

And there's no obvious indication of when the discounts go away. Unless you go back and dig up the sale thread in the forum, then you won't find the current Weekly Sale page. And without finding that page, you won't know when the discount expires. The timer certainly doesn't show up on the game cards.

At the least, in the "Now on sale" area, put a link to the actual sales - and make them the first links. So where the "Nine Parchments" tile currently sits, that should be a tile for the Weekly Sale. Next to that, the Weekend Sale. Or vice verse. And any other grouped promos should be right in line before listing individual discounted titles.

I'm okay with most of the rest of the redesign, but there should be some alterations to how sales and discounts are presented to the customer.
I have no idea why GoG is trying to emulate Steam, People shop here to get away from Steam, or as a alternative to Steam, not to be offered a bad copy of Steam. The old GoG site was great, why fix something that works?

However, jokes are usually funny. This homepage redesign is not.

While some adjustments are nice, my personal opinion is that the homepage looks a lot more cluttered.
And the decision to move the news section to the lowest portion of the page, I believe, was bad.
About the idea of trying to look similar to some others store, I don't understand how that might appear to be a positive. It is very apparent that the interface of that store is not very intuitive.
A joke?! https://youtu.be/u0qdjcv16HA?t=351

There should be a news archive going back at least 60 days. The "show games on sale now" should actually show all games that are discounted at the moment. There should be somewhere to see when a discount ends. Add links on the front page to the ongoing group/thematic sales (daily, weekly, weekend, developer, publisher... you SHOULD get it).
The price filter, did they fix that yet?

Also the last few times I looked at it, the new entries weren't even in chronological order.
Your not missing much:
Gwent, sale, Gwent, sale, galaxy, sale, offensive tweet, shovelware release, sale, Gwent, dlc, sale, Gwent....
