It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

This script helped me grab various games, thanks!
(except for the Anno pack which it doesn't seem to notify for some reason)

I just noticed that the script only notifies you the first time it sees given game. So, if you miss sale of an item you want, you have to restart it to get notified again. It may be your case too (otherwise packs notify fine for me, I have put generic "pack" keyword into wishlist).

I've restarted the script many times, set a correct price limit, added anno,ANNO,1404,pack but.. no beep for it.
Or I'm really deaf\distracted just for that O_o

EDIT: wait, maybe it doesn't check the price correctly? I've set 15.00 and the bundle is 14.6
Or perhaps.. the pack costs more for my region -_-'

Argghh, I've missed it for the Nth time! And I was right here when it appeared a few minutes ago!
I even increased the price.. it doesn't beeep for Anno!!! +_+
("pack" excluded because I didn't want to be awaken for wrong bundles)

Oh yeahh! Got it, finally!
The generic "pack" term now worked.

I don't even know what exactly was the problem, but.. amen now :P

You were the problem. :D
Congratulations on picking it up though.

Lol I really don't know, everything else worked correctly!
Anyway, finally it's mine : )
I was out of town for a few days. I'm glad no one is saying their computer melted down. :-)

Starmaker: Why doesn't 'firefox' work on my system? I had to use 'windows-default'.
Good question. That is an OS-specific matter. I guess I could provide other less elegant means of opening a browser window at the relevant URL, just for fallback.

mchack: anyone know how/if I could bold the title of the game in the output of the script?
That is not an easy thing to do. I would suggest that you edit the text that is printed, and discard what is not important to you. I'll see if I can provide other templates in the future.

Oh, and regarding the outlandish estimates, it just comes to show that you should not believe everything that a computer tells you, even if it seems to be concerned about your rest . ;-) (Or maybe you are uncovering my evil plan to grab all the copies of Monkey Island).

Next time I'll take a look at some better estimate methods; this breakneck promo speed is exposing its weaknesses.

Starmaker: the alert doesn't go off for bundles for some reason
I'll be looking at that, and see if I can figure out why that is happening.
phaolo also seems to mention this problem.

huan: I'm having weird amount of fun while tinkering with this script, thanks again to Gede
I'm quite glad to hear you are having fun with it. I was thinking of adding logging features to it. But that accounting of GOG's cash flow is very, very clever! :-)

huan: Also, a small bug:
16:51:51 NEW! "reus" at USD 1.99 (-80%) 16/25 copies ('https://www.gog.com//game/reus',)
15:51:51 "reus" USD 1.99 16/25
You may nap for 0.8 more minutes (15:52:39). I'll stand guard! Next peek in 30 seconds.
The first timestamp respects my UTC offset, second does not.
Outch! Good catch!

You are welcome. I'm glad my effort can be useful to the community. And I also saw you managed to get the Anno pack. I'm glad. (I would have entered just "anno").

I'm trying to learn python, hence the question. Telling people to use 'windows-default' or possibly run
import webbrowser
print(webbrowser._browsers)
to see what they can use would probably suffice for the script.

The point is that "anno" didn't work.
Anyway, all went well in the end :)
