Tell me which soundtrack is the best for you. ;) I'm in love with TLoU and Fable:TLC.
Obligatory entry.
God of War, Hook (movie), Skyrim 4xCD, C&C Tiberian Dawn, C&C Red Alert, Howard Shore Lord of the Rings... there is too many to name. Someone pick one for me. :P

That depends... for a game? For a movie?

I'd say that there are some pretty amazing movie soundtracks, some of my favorites are Blade Runner, Doctor Zhivago, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Wars. Arguments could easily be made for Saturday Night Fever, A Hard Days Night or the Graduate. Perhaps even Pretty in Pink (I do not kid.)

Verdict: Star Wars

For games, there are less stand out soundtracks in my mind, mostly because most game developers don't invest a lot of money in the soundtrack compared to graphics or other areas and many tend to be same old same old. Some of my favorite game soundtracks include Fallout, Outlaws, Bastion, Morrowind, Machinarium, Heroes of Might and Magic II and Interstate 76.

Verdict: Outlaws

TLoU = The Legend of... Underwear? Or is it "The Longest Urney"?

"GOG choice"... did you mean the best soiundtrack in a GOG game? I guess not since you mentioned Fable, which I don't see in GOG. Movies too?

The Underneath
I could mention the soundtracks for Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, but I'll settle for this:

Conan the Barbarian
If we're talking about games, then Prince of Persia The Sands of Time.
If we're talking movies then I'm gonna say that my favorite is Carrie (1976 version). If we're talking games then Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines gets my vote, with Gothic 3 being a close runner up.
Divinity: Original Sin - Diablo 2 - Skyrim

This soundtrack blows Star Wars out of the water:

An actual "GOG choice":

Grim Fandango Remastered ~ Peter McConnell

Beyond Good & Evil ~ Christophe Héral

The Devil's Playhouse ~ Jared Emerson-Johnson

Prince of Persia (2008) ~ Stuart Chatwood/ Inon Zur

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 ~ Benny Oschmann

It requires uplay so the odds of it happening are slim to none, just see all of the ACs beyond AC1 and Rayman Legends.
