About a year or so ago, I bought a Game Sir X2 Pro controller to use with my gaming phone. It came with a XBox Game Pass Ultimate free first month card.

"Nice!" I thought. I'll save it for when Starfield releases and I'll be able to play it, at least a bit.

Fast forward, and I haven't really used it (nor played Starfield) until now, and it's only valid until the end of this month.

So I finally pick up the card, scratch its surface, revealing the code. Go to the proper Microsoft site, type the code in... and it's used.

WHAT?! How!? What the hell!?

I have no idea what happened, and I tripple checked my typing, but from what I've seen online, this is a common problem and Microsoft always answers with "Tough luck, check with whoever gave/sold you the card or the thing that came with the card"

I suppose that there's someone out there with a Gamepass key generator having quite some fun.
