Ah yes, a brilliant article that basically is a clone of the article it links to from a feminist mag. Because one MRA in a blog has a small rant, the story is now posted on two websites (and will probably be posted on more) about how "all" MRA's are "up in arms" over the movie.

Read the blog, read the two articles, then tell me how this is somehow newsworthy and not sensationalism...

It's a stupid blog, but for two articles to link to it and complain spreads the stupidity...

----

About the only thing this proves is how influenced many of these so-called journalists are by neo-feminist ideology.

Shadowstalker16: Why the sudden happiness for movies with rape portrayal when some of us can't tolerate some cleavage on a FF character?
avatar
Fever_Discordia: Personally I've never been against sexy but empowered and fully realised female characters that aren't just window dressing or 1 dimensional prizes to be won by the male protagonist

Plus that's like calling Django Unchained racist because it features black slavery and about 1million instances of the 'n' word when it clearly has a strong message of equality...
And like calling a game that portrays ''abelism'' an abelist game for merely portraying it.

OK well at least you denounce the MRA sentiment on that 'Mammoth' site - It was interesting to see if you were going to come out in support or not, if nothing else...

Actually, I'm much less worried about the article on the Mammoth site. They are what they are just like Return of Kings is what it is.

What concerns me far more is the Daily Dot, choosing to link an article from a feminist site and seemingly just rewriting said article. I also do not like some of the distortions...

For example...the quote...
"So far, the film has a 98 percent "fresh" rating at Rotten Tomatoes, with even its only rotten reviewer conceding that it's "visually spectacular."

Now read the one review and tell me how you get conceding it's visually spectacular out of this...
http://www.mirror.co.uk/lifestyle/going-out/film/mad-max-fury-road-review-5680838
For those who don't readand follow links, the visually spectacular line reads this...
"The result is noisy, explosive and visually spectacular but depressingly hollow."

----

So I guess to be clear, I'm not actually denouncing the anti-MRA sentiment on the Mammoth site at all. It is a site specifically designed with the goal to mock MRAs. It tells you exactly what it is doing and does it. Good for them. The concerning part is when mainstream journalists link to and use said mocking as some sort of evidence of anything...
The Daily Dot should be the one called to task...

---

And for the record, I hope Fever just misspoke when talking about the "MRA sentiment on the Mammath" site. As the Mammoth site is an anti-MRA site that wrote an article criticizing a blog on the MRA site "Return of Kings". You'd know this if you actually followed the links and read the articles. Else, Fever was engaging in his usual trolling put-down attempts. As to why any other site is reporting on a MRA/Anti-MRA back and forth is beyond me...

LOL just from the name I thought they were serious - It seems they chose the name 'We Hunted the Mammoth' to take the piss but I it was too close to the name of real MRA sites like 'Return of Kings' to really stand out as satire! *bookmarked all the same*

But yeah, I should've done my research better (or at all) sorry about that!

I think its most probable that The Daily Dot thought the butt-hurt based comedy would be good for a few clicks more than anything though...

Apparently, the Punished Snake figure also has soft parts; his pectorals. So, with character having equal soft parts; we can again confirm these hipsters aren't looking for equality; but just out to censor what they don't like, if that wasn't obvious already.

Those claims seem to be a little hayzy. Almost like the resultant figure is comprised of a straw-like substance..

Also uh.. your source is a wee bitty biased, don't ya think?
Little bit of not-objective-in-the-slightest games journalism?

... find it kinda funny though.
"We will not publish clickbait with the intent to outrage."
And yet.. that title. Hm. How.. odd. Don't you think so?
That the chosen title for the article you linked is ever-so-slightly clickbaity and possibly intended to 'outrage' ?
(I can't imagine saying that a group of people are 'throw[ing] conniption fits' is not a delibrately outrageous statement.)

Seriously. Roosh is a douchebag and a fuckin' half.
You really supporting him, of all people?
No-one else whose sites you could get journalism on videogames from?
Yikes.

What is it with you? Facts presented by anyone are still facts. You either can't distinguish facts from opinions (and hence, can to an extent; sanely follow Anita and other such clowns) or you're fixated that if Hitler says 2+2=4, it won't be true.
Then, clickbait? You would say people seizing over a soft doll is not what's going on here? It may have lost its meaning to you but the terms ''sexist'' and ''misogynist'' are actually heavy words to throw around; if you'd believe. And calling a middle-aged troll all that is definitely extreme.

No one here mentioned Roosh until you. Do you want to talk about him and promote his stuff or just derail the discussion?

...once people have googled 'conniption' that is! - Seriously, did this guy leave 'Steampunk cos-player' out of "Cain Clayton is a 22 year old man who enjoys a good fight, cooking for himself and others, lifting weights and having a laugh at those who insist he couldn't possibly exist." or something?

And, yeah, I've pointed out the Rooch thing until I'm blue in the face too

Reaxxion is 'His Stuff' by posting links to Reaxxion you are promoting 'His Stuff' what part of this are you not getting?
Same as everything that comes out of the News International group is 'Murdoch's stuff'

It's the guy who wrote the piece you linked to's bio blurb - in the column on the left there and, yeah, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense but that's his mentality, not mine, I'm especially baffled by the part that says
" having a laugh at those who insist he couldn't possibly exist."
Who are they? Because he's black? Black MRA deniers? Is that a thing?

Reference to gamers are dead.

Also, SJWs tend to play the race card from the start. If you consider yourself a moderate in AntiGG please stop jumping to that as soon as you see it.

I know this reply is stupid but my dongle is dropping and my ISP is doing shit to bring broadband to the new place.

Ah makes more sense! Honestly, I read the blurb and re-read it trying to make head or tail what he could possibly mean and the race thing is all I could come up with!

Maybe because 'gamers are dead' was never about people not existing? I'm not defending those articles, just saying that I don't think the connection was obvious at all (although you seemed to have got it OK so maybe it's just me being a thick half-paddy)
