XYCat: Are those DLCs worthwhile or necessary for the story?
The Assignment and Consequence give a better understanding of Kidman's story. "Necessary", no.
Nicely done! Keep them coming, Bethesda.
Yes yes yes!!! These are insta-buys!! This has been a tremendous year for big releases DRM-free (the reason I'm here). Have to still mention it is unfortunate we can't download these large games using GOG Downloader, though. Browser it is, then. Thanks to all that made these releases possible and please keep the old-school survival horror (and Bethesda releases in general) coming DRM-free.
Nice add. But I gotta admit that I do find the pricing a bit odd. First game 75% off. First game including dlc 60% off. First game's season pass 60% off. Meaning that if you buy the game and the season pass separately instead of as a bundle you actually save a bit of money...
Awesome! A big thanks to Bethesda & everyone at GOG for working it out. Skyrim would be nice too, i've been waiting for that since the first Beth releases on GOG.

The bundle has been even cheaper prior to the games finally beating the hare and releasing here on GOG, which is even more bewildering. I guess if you wait for the GOG releases, you also accept that you have to wait longer to see the better discounts.
The promo (https://www.gog.com/promo/promo_launch_evil_within) is strange:
EW1+EW1 DLCs + EW2 + EW1 Bundle + EW1 Season Pass = 31,64 €

WTF?
Nice releases, Bethesda!

I think Beth could go all out now and drop the rest of their catalogue here as well:
Rage
Prey
Doom 3 Classic & Ressurection of Evil
Rogue Warrior

I'd say even Fallout 4 and Doom '16 should be well within reach, considering they were released before Evil Within 2. Let's see what the rest of the year will bring.

Oh yeah, and Doom 64, pls! Because *hint, hint* target audience!

russellskanne: WTF?
Looks hastily cobbled together. They should've planned on including either just the first game's bundle form or the game and season pass, alongside the second game. Instead they dumped all the mess that includes the first game in there, bundle, season pass and separate DLC pieces. Woe to the people who impulse purchase off that page.

Unfortunately it's been a constant trend in GOG sales for old AAA games. You pay more than you'd pay on steam. Maybe GOG needs a bigger profit margin, I don't know. Or maybe it's the big publishers "DRM-free tax".

Good god man! Other than the ending credit song, that game was awful.

That's an understatement.
Some examples of Mickey Rourkes lines.

What a nice surprise. I really didn't know if we'd get these here or not. I'm instabuying the lot despite owning them in that other store.

For anyone interested, here's my experiences with the two games plus all DLC:

The Evil Within 1 plays much more survival horror than the second part. It's more linear in nature and is strongly based in horror, gore, questions of the protagonist not understanding what is happening, and a balance of fighting for survival while also knowing when it's better to just run and not fight. It really is a blend of Silent Hill and Resident Evil and I love it. I recommend the DLC packs as well as they provide more information to the story and characters which helps answer more questions. Naturally these summaries can be read online, but I recommend them.

The Evil Within 2 changed the formula of the original by making more of an "open world" approach. I say this as it's the pseudo open-world a la Silent Hill. There are places which you need to go in order to progress but it's less of a corridor feeling. The RPG elements of upgrading the main character are further developed here and will be critical to survival. While the horror elements are very much present, they've been significantly toned down compared to part 1.

Ultimately, I highly recommend these to fans of horror, survival horror, Silent Hill and Resident Evil. They stand as a franchise well and I can't wait to jump in and replay them.
Wow, thanks!
Some insight from the producer of the second game (spoiler-free):
