Okay, this is a wild notion. Axel Braun, noted adult film parody director and all around egomaniac, has decided to try and crowdfund his next movie, The Empire Strikes Back XXX, a sequel to his original Star Wars XXX. The plan is $500,000 and when finished it will be released for free on the web.

It's an incredible idea in an industry hit hard by piracy and sticking to antiquated business practices, but if anyone can pull off such a feat, Mr. Braun is probably the best chance. His films are maybe some of the closest 'blockbuster' porn around. His Batman Vs Superman looked great and was very comicbook accurate.

Ah hell, if I can buy Undertale today, maybe I can chip in a few bucks for the shot at more Star Wars porn. What do you guys think? Genius? Terrible? Corrupting the weak moral fabric of our very society? Or just meh?

This will probably be a really weird question but... is there something like a de-pornified edition of the Batman vs Superman "parody"? Because it might be interesting to watch as a fan film, but I don't really feel like watching Superman's dick.

Chances are its on the disk as optional movie. I... heard from someone.. that a Adam West Style Batman Pornparody had such a selection.

Interesting to see they are trying to address the piracy issue in a positive way (crowd-funding instead of, I don't know, lawsuits for example). Curious to see where how this will turn out.
However, I am not really sure how a bigger budget manifests in such an endeavour ... but I may just be hindered by my own ignorance.

Actually, all of Axel's parodies feature a non-sex version on the second DVD. The Star Wars parody was worth watching without the sex, very funny and quite clever. Spiderman vs Superman was pretty good as well.

It was very funny, especially since it made snarky references to the prequels. It was very self-aware. And the Death Star scene had effects from Axel's company that would have made the Sci-Fi channel proud.

Just bear in mind the non-sex version of the movies often only run about fifteen minutes or so. Maybe closer to half-an-hour for the big-budget flicks.

American politicians lie to the masses all the time, declare wars on lies that lead to the deaths of thousands of people on both sides. America has the highest prison population in the world, an epidemic of promiscuous teenage single mothers, one of the highest divorce rates on the planet, highly corrupt and brutal police officers etc etc.

Where is the moral fabric ?

Porn does not do anything to harm the society. If you want to fund it then do it.

Porn parodies are a common thing since porn industry started so it's not such a big deal. However, I'm kinda wondering what exactly is he planning since he's running it through kickstarter. The studio he works for gave him money for his porn parodies countless times.
