SirPrimalform: I would love that. All of the Double Fine LucasArts remasters have maintained the spirit of the original artword far better than the Monkey Island Special Editions.

tfishell: I tweeted at Tim asking what was happening with Curse; hasn't responded though. :P
Just noticed I coined the term "artword" there.
i generally don't like buying games which are scummvm bundled or dosbox bundled. it's mainly gog's tweaks i don't like. i have the original game so just pairing it with scummvm manually allows me multiplatform gaming instead of just pc gaming.
I never got to play this one. It felt so different to the first two and by then I was starting to become interested in other genres, and I just let it slide. But I wouldn't be against having the chance to play it with GOG. It's never too late.

MadalinStroe: I seem to remember that Ron Gilbert is interested in making new games in the series, and he's not a fan of Monkey Island 3, seeing how he wasn't involved in its development.
It's true he didn't like them but I think he wanted to set it right after Monkey Island 2, so technically the other sequels could still be considered canon. He also said that he will only make it if he can acquire the IP rights, which are currently Disney's property, so... when pigs fly?

I started the critically slated Escape and enjoyed it but never got to play Curse. Would love to play it, I wonder if there is a licensing problem.

For the record I didn't really like Secret of Monkey Island 1, after playing it for the first time last year.
