bler144: IIRC the problem is structural, as the max negative points per day is higher than the max positive points, even if the community could coordinate to upvote him to get the max positive impact every day. As case in point look at the number of posts he has in this thread already that are high-rated, and yet the trend is still downward.
The exception would be that someone could create a new "problem" thread each day, and then mark a post of his as the solution. Which would take some coordination. But would be the more effective counterbalance given the system at hand.
Were GOG invested in the forums, much less the "rep" feature it could potentially be balanced out or corrected in a number of ways, but with things as they are, as long as someone with time/determination is set on driving his rep down, the trend will remain downward despite upvotes.
If GOG were more involved in the first place maybe there woudn't be a scammer infestation these days.
