Well got a day off and needed some break from scrolling through the prime deals -.- - so ya decided to create a list of a selection of the remaining games which might be worth taking ^^ (what's a better escape from scrolling through list than actually creating one -.- ) and well tried to sort out most (all?) of the rather "meh" games.
Some of the games i played myself and that ones i then can highly recommend , others i only judged by their steampage/reviews/metacritic . If i placed a * at the game title it means i either own the game myself or would not mind owning it so this can be considered a special recommendation.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/24800/ (guess there is origin keys as well though but well it's not like ppl use origin or? :D)
Well lets start definitely a recommendation here
Up to date graphics - check
Totally cringe cutscenes - check
Good gameplay check
Rather challenging compared to other C&C games - check
Summarized one of the better recent C&C and for free a no brainer
Betrayer *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/243120/
really nice artdesign - quite unique atmosphere and scenery - perfect game for an one evening playthrough
Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians
http://store.steampowered.com/app/231040/
Casual 2d adventure which is strong on the music and the general art design/backgrounds - gameplay itself may fall kinda short but if you want to play calming relaxing game i guess that might be a good choice
Arsenal of Democracy: A Hearts of Iron Game *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/42850/
really polished HOI2 standalone "mod" - no idea why this is not taken yet ^^
Adventures of Shuggy
http://store.steampowered.com/app/211440/
polished and well executed 2d platformer - may not be a revelation but solid craftsmanship in all aspects of the game - Offline Coop Mode !
Dustforce DX *
Great 2d platformer with a very fluent gameplay, kinda difficult - so good for somebody who likes a challenge - not good for somebody looking for a casual game
Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine *
Quality game and should be well known i guess - Organize Heists and be sneaky ^^. Online and local coop.
Knights and Merchants*
http://store.steampowered.com/app/253900/
One of my favorite strategy games. Basically it's the Settlers with combat done right. Quite the challenging game and sadly 1 or 2 missions can be outright unfair on the first try
Indie Game: The Movie *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/207080/
7,7 IMDB rating, Documentary about the making of indie games - if you are remotely interested in that matter worth watching i would say.
Gorky 17 *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/253920/
Really good turn-based strategy game - for me it's on the same level as Jagged Alliance
Go! Go! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan~
http://store.steampowered.com/app/251870/
Well if you like visual novels and japan this might be worth a shot ^^, if not , not -.- (seems to be decent enough for a visual novel but you have to like the genre)
Wacky Wheels *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/358380/
Amazing classic ! The memories! That was as close as we could get to mario kart on PC back then
Teleglitch: Die More Edition
http://store.steampowered.com/app/234390/
Really good Rogue Like
Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/234390/
Well kinda hard to decribe - i guess watching trailer on the steam page is best to get an actual impression of the game.
RUSH
http://store.steampowered.com/app/38720/
puzzles, puzzles, puzzles
Risen/Risen 2 **
http://store.steampowered.com/app/40300/
http://store.steampowered.com/app/40390/
Well it aint Gothic, it aint the Witcher ^^ but still very decent RPGs . First one is the better game imho despite being older. Risen 2 sadly kinda under-utilizes its environment as basically everything "is there" but gameplay and quests kinda fall flat compared to what could have been achieved.
Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/239430/
Good puzzle game
Puzzle Agent/Puzzle Agent 2 *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/31270/
http://store.steampowered.com/app/94590/
Good adventures from Telltale
Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic*
http://store.steampowered.com/app/338320/
It has pixels... who doesnt like pixels? :D
Overlord™ *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/11450/
Kinda like playing sacrifice but being evil
NightSky *
http://store.steampowered.com/app/99700/
platformer with a focus on physics
DeadSpace *
Well in my opinion the best of the 3 dead spaces, aged well and graphics still very good - the only 2 reasons i can think of why not taken yet is either way bc everyone hates origin or got it as freebie back then ^^
