JunglePredator: If you're playing because you want to see monsters & don't mind RPG I'd say give Dragon's Dogma or Witcher 3 a go.
They both have good monsters in them; many based on mythology.
If you want to play a monster Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines or Castlevania - Lords Of Shadow 2.
I actually quite liked LOS2; I don't think it deserve the bad rap it got. (Coming from playing most of the castlevania games to the end.) He is human looking but is enhanced & has a few nods to being a vampire... like his weapon is "made of blood".
omega64: I'm planning on getting DD and Witcher 3 eventually.
Just need to convince myself to finish the final chapter of Witcher 2 first.
Which I doubt will happen anytime soon considering i haven't played it in months and uninstalled it a while ago.
I sorta enjoyed playing through Lords of Shadow.
Lords of Shadow 2 made me really nauseous though.
Had to quit after climbing the golem and fighting the boss after.
I've completed... Most of Bloodlines, I'll get back to it someday.
Ah. Very few things make me nauseous. Think there's only been 2 games off hand. Can't remember the names.
You don't technically need to finish the witcher 2 to play the witcher 3. However the character import to 3 can make it harder or easier.... but there is a questionnaire if you want to skip. Be warned it plays differently from the 1st two.
It's a GREAT game but different from the 1st two.
Dragon's Dogma is also amazing but different from the witcher; it takes a more practical look at skills & spells.
People have said it has a bit of Dark Souls in it.... I disagree. It's not that hard... but it has a bit of witcher 3 in it & a bit of Dragon Age: Inquisition in it.
Much better than inquisition however..
Graphic wise it's over the shoulder... almost plays like Batman.
