Vendor-Lazarus: I'm obviously grateful for and respect finkleroy who manages this thread and the work that goes into organizing and displaying the gifted games, but if there's another person willing to co-manage it, based somewhere centrally in the Eurasian continent, maybe the rest of the world would feel happier participating. Both in giving and getting games. ^^
finkleroy goes through rather extreme efforts to vary the times at which he updates the list of available games, and frequently that turns out to be quite beneficial to Europeans. There've been quite a few mornings since he took over from zeo where I looked at post 2 and saw new games sitting there, without anyone having asked for them yet. This would not get better with a co-host, and if this is really what's preventing you from donating, then I hope that this observation is putting to rest those worries.
(This last month has been pretty quiet with donations, so very little new on the list regardless of when you look, but January and February were super busy with them, so it all balances out.)
Expensive / highly popular games go very swiftly regardless of when they're added, and there might be a bit of a feeling among some people that they should try and get a game from this list pretty much every month, rather than letting games linger a bit to see if someone else would like it more - but that's I think an unavoidable fact of the current rules. Everyone who doesn't like those rules is free to set up a different giveaway with different rules. :) (Personally I think these rules are the very worst, except for all the other rules that have been tried. That is, they strike a decent enough balance between making it workable for finkleroy and fair to everyone else.)
