It happens all of the time, not meaning to single you out RW, and it's not a big deal at all, but

I would like/appreciate that when people send their thanks in public that they also name the game. My brain tweaks a little because it likes to know details, I think.

Personally, I appreciate just a humble "thanks" (no reason for public fanfare, just a pm will suffice!) which, sadly, isn't always the case...

I'll remember that if I ever redeem a game gifted by you! I always send a PM, but also shout-out here. Would you prefer no mention of your name here in the thanks, just a "thanks to the donator" (with a PM of course) ?

You misunderstood; I don't really care how anyone choose to say "thanks", as long as they say it. But as I said, this isn't always the case which, to me personally, leaves a bitter "taste" if you know what I mean.

And before you think that all this talking is about rep boosting or whatever, I really don't care about the rep counter, hence the reason I don't care if I receive public thanks or not (although double & triple thanks should be given to Moon in any way possible - hell, even send her some flowers if you can!) :)

I just want to give my perspective. I believe I've received two games from this giveaway, and the very first time I said thank you to moon via chat, but didn't know about this forum post. I thought it was a one-off where I was nominated by a friend. When it happened again, I asked where these nominations were taking place so I could say thank you publicly. I didn't know about the Community Giveaway before those two nominations, and I regret that I never came on here to say thanks the first time.

So, I just want to say, it's entirely possible that other people don't realize there's an entire thread dedicated to giving away games. I also don't want to derail this thread really, but felt like I needed to mention a possibility.

Thank you to Moon for continually dedicating your time and effort, and to all the wonderful patrons of this giveaway. Lovely people, all of you!
