Thanks for the reminder, I like changing my avatar relative to the holidays (although there seemed to be a bit of a hiccup in the GOG system a while back that prevented it from changing).

First thanks for continuing wonderful Christmas tradition! I hope that this giveaway will bring some holiday cheer and joy to you all! My regular avatar is actually ninja snowman (from Eureka TV series), but I could change it to some of unusual snowmen I made during years.

Which one would be best avatar? Snow Imp (made this summer in Alps), Snow Cupid (St. Valentine's snowman) or General Snowatage (leader of Hordes of Winter)? Please help me :)

I don't believe GOG actually fixed the code to update the main avatars. By all appearances it's updated via a script running against the forum database as a set interval. I.E. it will be changed at or before 24 hours has gone past. Might be worth mentioning that in the OP.

I'm not in for any games, but you can expect to see my (traditional) holidays avatar once December kick in. :)

I really wonder how it works. Some of the avatars are visible now, (like moonshineshadow oder Habenerose) some of the others that were apparently changed before can still not be seen (e.g. mateusbond, Fantasysci5).
