Aliasalpha: by that logic you'll either get better or get famous and be able to have a cavalcade of meaningless sex!

Shalgroth: Oh hells yes! I don't care much about fame. If someone pulls out one of my paintings one hundred years from now, completely oblivious to who painted it, yet it strikes a chord. Well I'll be damned, my life actually mattered.
Money would be good though, if only to buy more canvas and paint. I rent, somehow the landlord wouldn't be impressed if I started painting the walls.

He would if you were famous!
You! The famous painter! Using his lowly walls as canvas!
I've got nothing to bitch about since I've just changed from job-position (went from consultant to in house developer) and it's way more fun where I am now. Also, i've reinstalled freelancer yaaay :D
Hey, we've got another thread for you happy types, we're wallowing in depression here. At least I HOPE it's depression, certainly smells bad anyway and I think it's staining my socks

Think of how much he'd be able to jack up the rent!
I'm cold
better?
Yeah, I guess I'll let you pass with that one, welcome to miserytown

JudasIscariot: My main beef today is the fact that no one here where I live listens to some decent metal. It's all friggin' DiscoPolo and other techno music abominations. Also, no cool chicks, merely conservative little biddies.
Waiting until I get a decent sound system to blast some metal into this small town...

I had to have my mother drive me into work the other day, because my car got fucked by an idiot driver last week, and I put my newly-crafted mix CD in here stereo....kindof weird listening to Samhain, Death, and the Stooges with your mom!
I have three different term-length group projects for three different classes this term in college, and I can't stand any of them. I guess I'm "burned out." I don't want to take physics, both because I'm not great at it and because everyone else in the class seems to know the material already which instantly makes me unable to contribute as much to that particular group. Guh....

Aliasalpha: Start a cult of Dethklok, it sounds like exactly the stuff you need

/\
This. It would be awesome.

Shalgroth: I overlook the differences, she doesn't.

Been there, too. Sorry for your situation. :(
I hope you figure out the depression thing. I was majorly messed up in one for about a year and a half. I'm not sure what happened exactly...just a combination of good people helping me out (some that've been through it) and enjoying the simple things in life -- like games :) -- and not overthinking. I came out of it very different than I was. Used to be very passive..barely now. If someone pisses me off I will let them have it. :)
Was very tense and anxious during the depression, now I couldnt be more relaxed most of the time.
Best of luck sir.

Aliasalpha: Heh, I always find dark humour when people talk about curing depression.

This is good advice, too. I'm a pretty sick bastard now. :P
I kind of live by this quote: "I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it."

I was never the passive sort. At our school we used to have these benches made of 2 logs about 2m long bolted together with 2 smaller log offcuts as feet, I once threw one of those at a guy when I was in year 10, it was sort of a "RAAAR HULK SMASH" moment. Curiously enough even though it missed him, substantially less people tried to pick on me after that.
Bugger respect or acceptance, I'll be terrifying any day

Well I had my moments. Once this friend of mine and I got in a fight and I bit his leg. I was tempermental as well as passive. I'm an odd one.......
Kinda ticked off last night.
An old high school mate I have not met in the past 10 years called me up to invite me to his wedding.
The only reason that he is inviting me is because he overbook the venue. Now they have extra tables.
Furthermore, he was a judgmental prick during our phone conversation. I declined his invite shortly after his phone call.
Everyone on this thread reminds me of this dude.
My wife is a musician and she's on a gig in Amsterdam. I had a short christmas holiday and was going to drive there for a few days. The day before departure my car had a serius breakdown rendering me immobile. A had a great holiday with all the naked ladies on the internet :(

Life? Don't talk to us about life.
