500+ deals up to 90% off, $3 mystery games, and free games just for shopping.

A jocund flame swallows up the cold, cold streams of outside air. The holidays are coming, and everyone begins to feel a little more generous, a little more kind, and a little bit giddy. We're feeling it too, because this time around, winter came to GOG.com before it was cool.

The Holiday Ninja Squirrel (have you met her yet?) brings a generous surprise for all with $3 Mystery Games from the GOG.com catalog, each worth between $6.99 and $34.99. These games won't be part of the regular sale lineup, and unowned games will be prioritized to minimize repeats. We're starting out with a pool of 50+ games, but we'll be adding more throughout the sale - we'll let you know when that happens.

Finale - 2/2
Of emotional good-buys.

You can also go for some mouth-watering point'n'clicks like The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 and Stasis (-50%), or exercise your aptitude in wielding blunt weapons as a Shovel Knight (-33%).

The curtain is falling on our Big Winter Sale but the uplifting mood lingers on, as there is still time to have a final go at those intriguing mystery games and grab your FREE copy of Giants: Citizen Kabuto before he runs back into the wild.

Got room for another gift? Then go ahead and grab a festive wallpaper featuring a certain woodland creature, lovingly put together by our amazing art team: gogcom.imgur.com

With a subtle nod of the head, the Holiday Ninja Squirrel would like to thank you all for joining us in the heartwarming price-chopping, certain that she will see you back for all the joyful events to follow.

Konrad: More wallpapers for all!
Our Art Team prepared a few more wallpapers for you guys, now in a bunch of different resolutions and variations: http://gogcom.imgur.com
Neat, but how come the 12 other images aren't accessible? Whenever I try to view one of them fully sized I get the message 'This account has no public images'.

Edit: Apparently, it only happens when trying to access them via the 'View all images' link - never mind then. :)

Random_Coffee: How is Indiana Jones and The Emperors Tomb? It looks like a typical adventure-game from the original Xbox-era. Is it any good? Does it support a controller?
It's more or less Tomb Raider without boobs. A pure Tomb Raider-like ! The French version has the same dubber than Harrison Ford in the films, but IDK about the original version.
Awesome free game, thanks GOG!
Bingpot! Now that's a proper freebie!* What a treat! Thanks a bunch GOG & Interplay!

It almost makes me forget all about this. ;P

*(None of that 'earn free games' nonsense.)
Thanks for the freebie, GOG!
And the wallpapers are nice too :)
Thanks for the Giants: Citizen Kabuto, GOG and Interplay! Very pleasant surprise. :)
Wallpapers release is a very nice gesture! Kudos to your art team.
Well, that's the end of the sale for me.

Another good event with a boatload of fun items to pick up at cheap prices.
The art team's work on the wallpapers, the time put in on the news posts and a code for Giants I can pass along to someone all count as quality bonuses.

Have a good end of the year whatever, GOG Central, and thank you. =)

(And now, to start applying some first aid to my budget. Three sales in fairly rapid succession have beaten the crap out of it...)
Anyone want to talk me into (or out of) getting the Walking Dead bundle? They look cool, the first game's supposed to be really good, and I think my computer can run them (never a guarantee with games that recent)...but $14 is a bit more than I like to spend all at once on digital games. mrkgnao already gave me some input a couple days ago; anyone else care to share?

EDIT: Never mind, I splurged and got the bundle.
Now let's see if I can keep myself from buying anything tomorrow....

Thank you very much for Giants: Citizen Kabuto! That game raised my curiosity a long time ago, for its originality, its popularity, the enthusiastic reviews etc. but I've always felt undecided about it. Now finally I can try it.
Just got the email newsletter about the winter sale finale, and it says there'll be more free games on Monday:

"For more FREE games, check back on Monday, December 14, 10:59 AM GMT."

I just received the GOG's newsletter about the Big Winter Sale Finale and under the Giants banner announcing the freebie, there is a weird sentence : "For more free games, check our site from Monday December 14th, 10 : 59 AM GMT."

What do you think ?

And there should be something else monday ? Very curious to see this ! :D
Dumb question but... what time is "10:59 AM GMT" in CET ?
Very nice. A free game and those beautiful wallpapers. I hope GOG.com Art Team upload their other works (past sales) too. Thanks! :)
