Once again: There is nothing indecent directly on GoG. Nudes and the like. If common pictures can harm someone, how do they even walk the streets? How do they watch movies and animations on TV?

And what should be going on in a person’s head so that he puts in one row “I don’t consider it necessary to introduce additional censorship where children should not be, under the pretext that they might see something wrong” (I’ll ask again - what exactly can they see here now?) and "yes, dude, you can drag minors into bed"?..

P.S.: By the way, minors may well sneak into your bedroom and see what they should not. So everyone should stop having sex so as not to hurt anyone

JuWalk: About the kid by the road [...]
I CAN intervene in this situation, but I don't HAVE to. It all depends on my desire to intervene or just pass by.

BreOl72: Thanks for the confirmation. All I needed to know about you.

avatar
neumi5694: So do yours. If you compare the brothel situation to seeing people in clothes (there is not even censored nudity on the GOG homepage), what does that tell us about you?
If someone else had made that analogy, what would you think about him?
Would you believe him if he said he is sane?
You had to make this personal, so don't be surprised if you get answers matching your tone.

BreOl72: You really don't like to read, do you?
But that's ok - tells me all I need to know about you, too.
This is exactly how it works. And not just for me, but for everyone. A person is obliged to do only what is prescribed in the law. In all other cases, he is free to do as he pleases, depending on the circumstances. And the fact that you are trying to hang extra obligations on someone says a lot about yourself.

I explain for those who do not know how to think with their heads - no, I will not pass by a child who risks getting hit by a car. But not because I have to intervene. And because I want to do it. Because in this example, the risk is quite real. But "kids can go to a site that they are not allowed to go to and get harmed by absolutely decent pictures, so you have to do something!!!111" is bullshit

---
In order to protect them from some kind of harm, a warning has already been issued "If you are under 18, get out of here". That's all, the obligations on the part of the site are fulfilled. Only they and their parents are responsible for the further development of events. If they want to do something forbidden and their parents don't mind - why should outsiders interfere?

You talk now about the 'other' guys, but in the first post you didn't.
And I was referring to that one.

Anyway, peace. I admit I may have overreacted a bit. Subject closed if you want to.

I don't have a problem with porn games, just porn games that look like they had a budget of 2 potatoes and don't even look particularly enticing.

That's what I keep saying all the time as well, but it often gets ignored. GOG does not allow nudity or sexual acts in screenshots or videos. Take any adult game and compare the GOG store page with Steam. Steam's the one that has explicit content. GOG does not.

While I would welcome advanced filtering, I disagree that "pornographic games are out of control". There is no pornographic content on the GOG store. Period.

If you are scarred by lingerie, then do you also have a heard attack whenever you walk past Victoria's Secret in a mall?

exspiracola: Fully half of the games I see in the store now are "adult" games and there is not even a way to filter them.

Ice_Mage: While on the search page, you can type NSFW in the tags search box. Hover the mouse over it and you'll see an eye icon. Click that to exclude games with that tag. You can bookmark the page so as not to set the filters each time.

There's no built-in method to filter them out from promotional material like banners, news posts, and newsletters. I believe at best a user script or the like could filter out specific titles. So you'd have to see a game at least once before you can block it that way.
Thank you! I was so very tired of seeing anime and sex games.

If that's the road GoG wants to walk so be it, but this is now a site that is extremely unfriendly for anyone not dead set on spending the evening jacking off.
Has this been fact checked?
Free market, baby. Don't be such a prude.
I find it extremely offputtingv and it makes me not enthused to look for new games. At least steam doesn't shovel content like this at me.

Except thatthey apparently do, because there are Steam users that talk exactly like you and OP. Ways to hide adult games are available for both platforms but the self entitled still complains.
