Why is it that both Freelancer and Black&White can't be found anywhere on any website other than Ebay? Microsoft now owns Lionhead and still we aren't seeing Black&White on GOG/Steam/origins or anywhere else.

Does anyone know why we just can't get our hands on these two games?
I was going to say if this was going to be about bloodlines again, I was going to rip my hair out. Good luck getting microsoft here, that's about a slim to none chance.
I got them both on Amazon and for a really good price.

Of course that was five years ago.
It would be nice to finally see those Microsoft games like Urban Assault on GOG, but it looks pretty unlikely. :-/
Try Star Trek Armada 2.

I really want Star Trek Armada 2 on GOG! And Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 too :) They were Activision right?

Yupp.
Add to that, none of Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix series and no Papyrus Racing offerings such as Indy500, Indycar Racing 1 & 2, Nascar Racing....nothing.
The 2 games we just can't get?
In here? Cryostasis, Arma II... Obscure... I can name more than two ;D

Yes. THPS is a series adored by many, including me ;)

another one of those threads looking for black&white.

the disappointment gets that bit closer.

frustration simulator. you can't train your pet to do a goddamned thing.

the cities are filled with asshole little hedonistic anarchists that must be constantly shepherded.

the game turns into a slideshow debacle after you've played a level for a couple hours.

let me share with you something.

picture a land. every fucking inch of that land covered with houses. a huge granary with a tiny little sandpile of food occupying it. and my creature, stuck in place, destroying the same building it already destroyed over and over because it has no room for its pathfinding to walk with all the houses even though it's mostly larger than what it's trying to walk over. all happening at 3 fps.

that was the first level that the game's nonsense tripped me up. even knowing well what's wrong with the game in subsequent plays, it's impossible to completely play around it.

I'm starting to think we should start considering some of these games adandonware, if the companies can't be bothered to actually sell them anywhere, seriously.

I'm gunna start considering ten years of not being sold or something, Outrun 2006 you are pushing it.

... Half Life 1 & 2 was actually the first thing that popped my mind reading the title. Freelancer and B&W are more intersting though.
Oh, I thought we were going to be talking about Starcraft and Warcraft...
