So the fix seems to be that the icon is back without a number. I guess realistically, that's the best that could be done on short notice, and it does take care of most of the complaints. Still, the spacing feels off compared to the icons with number, creating a weird gap to the shopping cart icon.

I'm not sure what this icon is for. Is it just a link to the wishlist? Is it meant to alert you to something?

It will be fine once it gets a number.

I hope it's going to fetch the number of discounted titles in the wishlist as that would save the "trouble" of an hover and click to find out how many there are (if any).
And now the heart just sits there as an extraneous way to access our wishlist, even though it takes a negligible amount of time to hover the user menu and engage the wishlist.

...Congratulations on making an arbitrary change without asking the userbase about it, I guess?

Same as on many other stores really. I got such a heart on bandcamp and see nothing bad about it. But I would prefer a button to access the library directly or have one in addition.

mqstout: Hey, they also did post that they simultaneously fixed the perpetual purple notifications dot (which appears to be accurate).
Ahm... "accurate"...???? (screenshot)

ADDED: Also, I have yet to see any numbers by the heart. Or anything by the heart. Beside the bell on mine right now is a ZERO, beside the upper torso icon is a THREE (meaning 3 friends currently online - I think. and beside the cart icon is a ZERO but beside the heart..... nothing... nada.... zilch. (I do have at least one game wishlisted).

ADDED2: And I just checked and the game I have on my wishlist is currently on sale, so with no number next to it means that it's not a notification of those that are on sale (or it is and isn't working as intended.... nah that's not possible right???)

And much to the same degree, it doesn't exactly accomplish a whole lot, as GOG already has drop on hover menus. It's 1 click no matter where across the ballpark you walk, even if I do normally laud symbolic language over written text.

I had that same issue,initially.
Try reloading the page (maybe a few times).
That did the trick for me.

By "issue" what do you mean? If by issue you mean I don't have that button to push, I just reloaded about a dozen times. I completely got offline then back on, came back here to gog, and tried reloading the page three or four more times.

Maybe the reason there is no button there is because there are no notifications to clear?

I ask because I just checked forum replies... nothing there. Alerts have nothing (no friend invites or chats to read). And under my games library none are marked as updated. So, no notifications anywhere may be the reason behind no button to click?

But there is a 3 beside the person icon, meaning 3 friends online I think. But maybe that doesn't count as a notification?

Yes, that's the reason: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/heres_how_to_remove_permanent_forum_reply_notification/post291/?staff=yes

Oh damn, I clicked on this and read it. Don't suppose you could quote me and reply one last time and this time before I enter the thread I will check to see if that button is there and press it. And if I do, are you saying it will then work properly afterwards???? I mean go off each time automatically? Or is the "fix" merely clicking that button every time we get a forum response?
