It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

For a better tomorrow.

It's no secret that GOG.com (the platform and the community gathered around it) is growing at an exceptional rate all around the world. We're trying to keep that in mind as we look for new ways to improve our service for everyone. Obviously, one of the most important functions for all of you is downloading your games - preferably as fast and as reliably as possible.

For some of you this might sound familiar (yep it’s our 3rd time!), once again we are in the process of benchmarking various download locations and trying to get the most representative sample of worldwide results. That means wee need to look at as many unique ISPs / cities / countries as possible, and we need a little help from you! Below you will find a simple test that requires just one click and won't take more than 2 minutes of your time to complete:

2015 CDN TEST

Your help is greatly appreciated here! Of course you can run the test as many times as possible (preferably at different locations and different times of day). Oh, and keep in mind that we used a little bit of Flash in this test, so if you want to participate please make sure you have the flash player installed and/or you are not using any flash blocking plugins in your browser.
Just tried to make the test with Chrome on Mac and it made my entire computer sluggish after the first test, the second one having never started... Then I had to force quit Chrome.

Sorry for being a bit suspicious, but why is that? Are you really just testing the download/upload speed or are you also collecting other informations directly from your users' computers? And if not, why use Flash for a test like that?

d2t: Adone Flah Player 17.0.0.134 - released March 12, 2015 for Windows, Mac and Linux...
Not for Linux (Adobe stopped releasing it since 11.2). And not for any mobile platforms. Flash is dead. Using it on the Web is bad taste and simply not professional these days. Not that ActionScript itself is a bad technology. It can live on its own, but it should have no place on the Web.

d2t: Tell me
Tell me, may be you prefer GOG to release something taking in account IE6? If not, then it's time to move forward.

Sorry, but Flash is a noGo for me...
...maybe next year again, when you´ve got rid of it!
I remembered to do it again today. I'll do it several times, but I'd still like to know some results.

Darvond: No, doing that HTMl5 test.

shmerl: Yes, it makes a difference not using an obsolete technology which should be phased out from the Web. Adobe doesn't even release it anymore for most platforms.
Well, it will take time before the internet catches up.
Dozens of sites that still use it, a few web based games as well.
But yea, when even the banks quit using it because of security issues
the sooner flash gets forgotten the better.
I tried the test twice, but I the same result; Shockwave crashed.

That's flash Sure Technology: If it nearly crashes your computer, its Flash™.
Sorry, no flash. But download speeds are mostly good here.
