justanoldgamer: Thanks, I was wondering if some of the phantom replies I get were due to people canceling before posting. They are not. So I guess they are due to people editing after posting.
It could be by someone "replying" to you but deleting all your text, including the quote markers.

Yes. It did.
I believe I have read somewhere (JMich?) that the only necessary ingredients are click "Reply" and click "Post my message".

I have a "Error 500 Internal application error" sometimes when I try to open or refresh a page in the forum. Same somewhere ?

Yep, that has been happening since yesterday when they started integrating this friends stuff.

Damn ... I feel bad for the sheer amount of people I probably annoyed by starting a reply, then went elucubrating for a while just to 'back write', erase the quote and just post something more laconic.
