Yeah, heard that this morning :(

Very sad. His voice was instantly recognisable (and as a fellow Irish man it always reminded me of home).

I do wonder if anyone outside of the UK and Ireland would know him, but he was a legend here.

Edit: And of course he did a hell of a lot of good through Children in Need too.

I only know him from seeing him on QI, but he seemed like a terrific fellow. RIP Terry.

Sad news. Good tributes today on radio 2; Madley's show is well worth a listen on the iplayer.
Very sad news. I use to love watching him get absolutely sloshed during the Eurovision Song Contest. He would start the show with very professional announcing. By the end he was ripping into every body with some hilarious jokes. The good old days.
