Ah, okay. Well to be honest, in this case I think that's a waste. The main advantage for another game is a newer engine but nowadays, isn't it easier to make an engine more dynamic so you utilize things in the future if need be? This would cut down costs and if their excuse is increasing revenue, they could have expansions/DLC but I guess a large selling point was free updates so that might upset the fan base.

There's more than that. The wiring has gotten a massive overhaul, big gems have more uses now, there's conveyer belts, chests can be colored, and a few other neat things like that. But this is the last of the last big updates. Most of the staff have moved along to other projects.
