Unity seems to use telemetry i can see all files cause i am always admin and i was backing up gameprofiles ( save date from played games) which are usually dumped in the
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\
3 large folders reside in this one and they are loaded with all kinds of cached files, games, settings , hiscores and also nasty collected user login name info , thats the user you log in with, with the OS name , nr revision, bits memory etc etc etc ( propabaly even the IP which is NOT needed for them to know, ( imo they dont have to collect anything cause i HATE telemetry).
Anyway, i Googled for a solution to block the Unity files using the windows firewall, (already blocked some games and they cant send anything :D), BUT evil Unity seems to have a ball doing so and succeeding at it aswell...
ofcourse 1,000,000,0000 results so no way in this life i will be able to read all the results :(✖﹏✖)
So it has to be done one by one , (⊙﹏⊙) unless the game use the games .exe to do the nasty job, to send the data, i can try blocking it using the windows firewall, but if they can send data using the unitplayer.dll file its no go, you cannot block a .dll file ....
full path of the wherabouts of the Unity collected data:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow
So anyone knows of a working way to block those evil Unity ..... to stop the ET phone home stuff?
edit: blocked the files in the hostfile, archived the analytics in a rar archive then deleted the folders, now lets see if they comeback :D
