French are people with passion. Not only for fashion, food, or art but also for games. Upcoming Bastille Day inspired us to celebrate French Week on GOG. It’s a perfect opportunity to discover games created or published in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. On this occasion, 350+ deals up to -90% discounts and some exciting hot releases await you in our store.

Let's start with the new additions. Creativity is the French developers' middle name, so from now on, you can imagine yourself as the Devil and play one in Rogue Lords, a dark fantasy roguelike originally published by Nacon. Big fans of challenging adventures should take a look at Roguebook’s mysteries and build their own deck very wisely. Both these productions are released today on GOG with a 40% discount.

GOG is a home for classic games and that’s why we warmly welcome releases coming from Microids publisher. Our classic offerings include new releases:

· Atlantis Evolution (-10%)
· Curse: The Eye of Isis (-82%)
· Necronomicon: The Dawning of Darkness (-90%)
· Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy (-90%)
· Return to Mysterious Island 2 (-90%)
· Sinking Island (-90%)
· Voyage: Journey to the Moon (-90%)

If you love adventure games with a unique atmosphere, you simply have to read our article about Benoît Sokal and his Syberia games.

Finally, you should definitely take a look at titles that are coming soon on GOG. If you are really into action games with a bit of fantasy and history-driven story, you should wishlist Steelrising and A Plague Tale: Requiem.

As you can see, hot deals are happening in our store. They will last until July 20th, 1 PM UTC, so hurry and join the French Week on GOG.

MarkoH01: Well, it is the same issue you said has been fixed already - that makes me wonder if it really HAS been fixed or if I should refund it instead (no interest in supporting broken games I only purchased because the seller mistakingly was assuming the known issue has been fixed). So what exactly HAS been fixed now and what hasn't? I have several games with issues that GOG never fixed despite the tickets I opened since GOG can only do so much and sometimes is not even allowed to do anything at all. I would love to post those here but the last time I did my thread was deleted without any warning ....

Thiev: I was referring to the issue with missing video after summoning ritual. It was reported by QA, fixed, and confirmed working on the same set of saves the issue was encountered before.
Still, it was only one set of saves for a single language version and if something else is broken (or broken differently) then I need to reproduce to bug - hence asking for a ticket and files.
That's fair. Thank you for the explanation.

Sat42: Good news: I can confirm the GOG version does NOT suffer from the infamous bug which skips important cutscene after summoning and makes the attaché case inoperable. (tested in English version, on Windows 7 64 bit)
The discussion on Steam still does inform you that the gameplay sequence immediately after the summoning has ALWAYS been buggy in the following ways: opening your inventory then closing it will replay the whole cutscene you've just had (you can skip it but still), and you should not save until you've moved on from the place with Edgar (otherwise you inherit a corrupted save and crash).
That's all - played and tested on Windows 7 64 bit.

Thank you also to Thiev for confirmation!
Nice!
