So I recently bought a new laptop. Nothing crazy, and certainly not one made specifically for gaming. However, it still has some brains to it. It's a Dell Intel Core i5 with 256GB of storage, 8GB of memory, and runs Windows 10. I generally play older games on GOG -- Rollercoaster Tycoon, Civ series, Brothers in Arms, to name a few.
My question is should I expect to run into installing/playing issues for games with those system figures? Am I misinterpreting system requirements?
For example, I looked at Rollercoaster Tycoon's system requirements and, unless I'm not grasping something, my processor doesn't meet their requirements, yet I play it with no issues (although it has crashed on me a few times, which never happened on my old laptop). It's confusing because I figured a modern laptop would be able to play just about any older game.
