Hi guys,

I'm a noob at this. I can't seem to figure out how to sync my steam library with GOG Galaxy. Please help
You can't. GOG Connect may allow you to do something like that but syncing is not possible.
You can't.

GOG Connect as a timed promotion occasionally lets you transfer select Steam games to GOG, meaning that you get a GOG copy of the game in addition to the existing Steam version. At the moment there are no games eligible.

GOG's client Galaxy 2.0 will let you add games from other clients including Steam as a means to have a unified game library, but all those games will remain tied to their respective clients. However Galaxy 2.0 is currently in closed beta and in all likelihood won't be released until later in 2020.

↑ is mostly correct :) just the release date of GOG GALAXY 2.0 is not announced yet

And just an FYI, here are the links to:
GOG Connect page
GOG GALAXY 2.0 Signup
It will be released in 2022.
From a consumer perspective I want to favor GOG as my main storefront. Having said that, GOG Connect would be a good alternative, if not relying on the good will of developers, to allow their games to migrate through.

It does not make sense to me to re-buy a title on GOG that I already own on steam, just to get goodies. Also I've noticed that Digital Deluxe editions are also charged at a heavy price here as on steam, just because it contains digital content. No difference there.

In my case i have close to 1000 titles on Steam, but would really like to switch to GOG. I am also expanding my GOG library and focusing on older titles.

What I would like to suggest is to completely sync the Steam Library into GOG. Don't know if its going to be possible but would like to have that.

In the meantime I am buying new stuff as I can on GOG, and I am trying to ditch Steam altogether.

Thanks again for this amazing initiative.

Rick
