As ZFR said, depends what you would like. I switched as well a few months back to a windows tablet as I wanted maximum mobility and you can actually play a lot of games.
What I found:
- Turn based are super touch friendly, majority can be easily played and are usually not so system intensive anyway, stuff like heroes 3, disciples 2 etc.
- Top down action rpg (like diablo 2), a lot work fine but a bit wonky to play as they usually rely on the idea of a cursor staying in the same part of the screen while the character moves, so it gets a bit wonky if you want to click on something.
- First person - you would need a virtual gamepad but can be done, I guess it's a matter of getting used to a game pad layout vs a keyboard one. I played minecraft a bit like this and it works. You will need to be a bit careful of the system requirements as some have steep ones, also a question of how many keyboard shortcuts you need.
- Platformers - same as first person, the virtual game pad could work quite ok.
- RTS, did not try it a lot but it could work quite ok as well I guess. Main thing seems to be to get used to scrolling with the mini map, probably a bit difficult to control if you need to jump through different squads etc (no shortcuts), but doable.
- Games with only keyboard input are usually turn based or step based (stuff like dwarf fortress, adom, etc) - these can be easily played as you basically have the game in a window and the touch screen keyboard out, restricts a bit the size of the game but it worked fine for me.
I hope it helps. If you have a specific type of games in mind, or type in mind it might help to narrow down a bit more.
