The time has come to uncover the third game giveaway during our Summer Sale. You have 48h to grab a highly engaging classic military simulation from Bohemia Interactive – ARMA: Cold War Assault!

Originally published by Codemasters as Operation Flashpoint in 2001, the game celebrates the 20th Anniversary of its release today. ARMA: Cold War Assault easily captivates modern gamers with its rich, enthralling campaign and diversified gameplay that enables them to finish every mission in the manner of their choosing.

ARMA: Cold War Assault giveaway runs until June 24th, 2021, at 6 PM UTC.
Ah with the sale getting in the final stretch I've been wondering where's the third giveaway.
Thank you Gog and Bohemia
Thanks to Bohemia for participating in the giveaway.
Thanks for the giveaway.. I guess... but promoting games and developers who have not only not released anything new here and actually removed games for sale?
The game is also available for free on Steam, so probably it does not count as the third GOG Giveaway (similar case to Loria), doesn't it? ;)

Not a game I was ever interested in, but hey - sometimes getting something we'd otherwise never buy is what's great about giveaways.

And there are no strings attached this time! Good job, GOG (and I'm not being srcastic).

Thanks once again.
Thanks. Already had it, so I get nothing this time.

I played this game once. My memory is fuzzy on the details, but this is roughly how it went. I got a simple assignment: steal some letter and.. I dunno, doesn't matter.

First attempt: I run towards the letter, I get shot by an unseen enemy.
Second attempt: I crouch towards the letter. I get shot by an unseen enemy.
Third attempt: I try to use cover by hiding behind walls and objects. I get shot by an unseen enemy.
Fourth attempt: Same but I also crouch. I get shot by an unseen enemy.
Fifth attempt: I approach the target from a completely different direction. I get shot by an unseen enemy.
Sixth attempt: I steal a vehicle and drive towards the letter. I get shot by an unseen enemy.
Seventh attempt: I steal a vehicle and drive towards the letter VERY QUICKLY. I made it, so I get out to grab the letter and get shot by an unseen enemy.
Eighth attempt: I steal a vehicle and try to locate to unseen enemy so I can try to run them over. I get shot.
Ninth attempt: I now know where the bastard is, so I try to run them over.. only to get shot.

This is when I started looking for cheats. Just FYI, the "iwillbetheone" cheat for God mode is FAKE. Because there are no cheats for this game!

What a waste.
Thank you GoG.

In this case it seems to be counting. The text in the news post explicity says third game giveaway of the summer sale.

As you can see, they think it counts.
low rated
thx
thx, but this game is probably too hardcore for me, so I'll pass.
Thx for the free game.
A game that was a revolution at the time of the release. A realistic simulator with a lot of freedom. The American army allegedly used it for a part of its training programme. The graphics may be dated today, but it is a piece of gaming history. Thank you for the gift! I already owned it, but it is still nice.
