hummer010: Oh, and if you're looking to get a free copy of System Shock 2, but can't/won't use Galaxy. Change your browsers user-agent string to GOGGalaxyClient/1.1.11.56, and visit embed.gog.com. I claimed it that way.
Wow! It works! Unfortunately I can only +1 this once. I think today I have learned almost as much about GOG Galaxy in this thread as I have learned by reading the GOG Galaxy page.

Careful now. Let's not get too revolutionary all at once, or else someone will probably go and suggest something like GOGOS -- at least it sounds a tad more exciting than SteamOS (depending on how you pronounce it, anyway!) :-P

hummer010: I did find it odd that the FAQ mentioned that a Linux client was coming, and no mention of a Mac client.
Well, as you yourself said, strange is what they do. I wouldn't put it past them to release FO3/NV/Skyrim/Oblivion on a Monday and mention it only in some random forum post to a completely unrelated topic thread, in upside down font, written backwards. blotunga: At some point they were hiring for Qt jobs so if they used that for Galaxy it should be cross platform.
It wouldn't surprise me if they did use something higher-level like Qt. I can tell you that the Mac version certainly doesn't look or feel like a "native" Mac app written using the traditional OS X Cocoa APIs. Not that it matters anyway, given the blatant disregard for UI consistency at Apple or among many indie programmers out there. I will say though that in my own experience, a continued strength of Galaxy on OS X is that it's relatively light on system resources and kinder on older systems, compared to Steam.
