I think it only shows the orphaned item if you have the free Witcher 3 DLC, but not the game itself. I have it as well, and it had always caused the game library to show a different number of games, which didn't include it, than the total at the top of my page, which did include it.

I have the game of the year edition, as well, but it has its own entry.

I'm gld to know i'm not the only weirdo who grabbed it for free even though i already have GOTY.

I have both the original and the GOTY and still have this stupid thing.

I also have the original, the DLC packs, and the GOTY which was provided free after the fact, and I see this on my shelf as well.

I long ago gave up trying to make sense of the stuff I see on this site. I just roll with it and try not to criticize GOG too much, because it seems like every week some game related company turns to the dark side even more, and GOG are still the good guys....

Same problem here, store page link leads me to the "free dlc program" for the Witcher 3

I own both versions of Witcher 3, GOTY and Normal+Expansions/DLC, I am not sure if that's the cause of the bug.

I'll see your phantom entry and raise you an unnecessary game. Why can't I HIDE the Witcher games? (This is a rhetorical question: obviously this is a banner game for the owners of this website and they have made the decision not to allow anyone to miss their fantastic product.)

But of course you can. Just go to the game card in your library -> More -> Hide game

Works fine for me.
