Save Paris and the French Revolution from the bloody rule of King Louis XVI and his automatons! Steelrising is a wild journey to the alternate history that will captivate you for weeks.

The best thing is, that this is not the only souls-like title you can immerse yourself in on GOG. Check this collection and take a trip to the dark lands filled with enemies to dispatch.

But be warned – some of them are quite difficult to defeat. Are you up for the challenge?
Gog's staff always omit Lords Of The Fallen when they list the "Souls-like" games, yet they have it in their store.

It's in the list.
Has GOG ever even tried to get any of the original real Dark Souls games? I've never seen any GOG staff member comment about that.

I think it wasn't originally part of the sale.
(everything below "Ashen" wasn't on the list - if my memory is correct)

Edit: typo

I don't think any Gog staff member ever commented about games they are trying to get. Apart from Little Nightmare we don't have any games from Bandai Namco. I asked directly a Gog staff member if they were interested in releasing the "Tales of..." games (also from Bandai Namco) and the answer was yes.... but it was more than five years ago so I wouldn't hold my breath...

This is a new list. The original post contained almost 10 games. Now that it got updated contains more, including Lords Of The Fallen. There was one list few weeks ago, and it did not contain Lords Of The Fallen as well. Gog should hire gamers who know their games and who know how to code.
I will 100% be getting Steelrising, but only once it gets its DLC in November.

Other than that, I can heartily recommend The Surge games. Tons of fun chopping limbs off of people to get gear.

And speaking of Lords of the Fallen, can we expect a GOG release of the reboot called The Lords of the Fallen?
:P
As with SEGA, domestically developed titles are likely verboten to receive the DRM-free treatment.
I highly recomend Steelrising. I am highly addicted to it just like I was for Elden Ring. Both Elden Ring and Steelrising differ from Dark Souls in that you can farm enemies prior to your fight with your first boss letting you level up enough to defeat it. I was not a dark souls player and when I played dark souls 3, years ago (I might do better now) I never got past the first big fight. But with both Elden Ring and Steelrising if you have trouble with the first boss you can farm the area and try again after putting on a couple levels. And I know the dark Souls hard core players will tear me apart for mentioning it. But there is also an assist mode in Steelrising so if you are not a souls player and still want to experience the game you can turn on assistance mode. From what I saw of it, you can adjust it to give very little assistance to heavy assistance. It also doesnt affect the world it only adjusts your character. You can adjust from very little extra damage to a whole boat load of damage. Same with damage you take. But if you use the assistance it will turn off a lot of achievments.

I can hardly put this game down. I put it on my steam deck and was sick in bed last night and having it on deck I could lay in bed and kill automatons. :) There was a "Beta" or Demo version out earlier that let you try out the first few levels . It might be worth looking for if you just want to try the game before buying it. Now that the game is fully released it might not be available to download anymore though.

It might go without saying at this point, but there's no way GOG aren't consistently trying to get AAA games here, those are what sell the best. (I believe you've mentioned Elden Ring several times before?) I think it's fair to assume the problems lie with DRM-free and GOG being so small/not much money to be made here.
