Anyone else with this issue:?
I was going to post some thanks (not going to enter) for the last giveaways, but when I click over the links, I'm welcomed with this message: "Oops, this giveaway is only viewable to members of the GOG.com Gift Club Steam group."

At first I thought that I was expelled/banned from the group (really, no kidding), so I checked my Steam profile to look for the list of groups I belong, but it is there! (is the second in my short list of groups).

Back to SteamGifts, I was going to do a sync just in case, but the list of groups below says: "No Groups Were Found" O_O

Doing a sync with SteamGifts and after waiting longer than usual, I get this message: "Please switch to a public Steam profile". But my profile in Steam IS public...! O_O

So I re-selected "Public" in my privacy setting and saved, then re-sync again on SteamGifts, but it doesn't save the list of groups I belong, I keep getting: "No Groups Were Found" --_--

So, who is the culprit here, SteamGifts or Steam...? o_O


EDIT: After many retries of syncing my Steam account while typing this post and when I was going to click on "Post my message", the issue was finally fixed... But will keep this post just in case someone else has the same issue...

That's some undoubtedly weird shit!

I've also had issues with the sync not working and saying my profile needs to be public (which it is already). Like Azrael, it takes a few tries but eventually works.

All those mentioned already happened to me and many others at least once.

If sync doesn't work, sync again. Never give up, never surrender!

I've only had issues with timeouts last couple of days. (besides the base game for many 'gold'/'complete'/'goty'/.etc games, saying I still don't own them :/ when I own the gold versions)

Hard to tell who the culprit was, but Steamgifts was recently attacked, and might still have some server-related issues (and that is probably why SG "forgot" which groups you were in). On the other hand, the steam servers have not been in top shape either as of late, so the synch problems might be related to that
