Does anyone know of an alternative to that site? I've always used the Steam Workshop Downloader to download mods for the GOG games I own. The problem is, as I was about to download some mods for Darkest Dungeon, I found out that the Steam Workshop Downloader has decided to stop their service in response to Valve's request for them to not redistribute content. Here's the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/swd_io/comments/uy55qg/we_are_no_longer_serving_any_files_through_our/

So does anyone know of an alternative, or should I just stick with Nexus mods now? This is sad indeed since some mods are only available on Steam Workshop.

Thanks!

Steam are removing all third party access to mod workshop, this is one of the perks of proprietary closed modding scenes where you can monopolise your customer base and the rest of the gaming world suffer. See here a list of all those who want got to follow the same route as steam and Bethesda:
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site#search=Mod
Because who doesn’t want more content locked behind proprietary client walls?

Yikes, hopefully that may never happen since there's the risk that you'd have to have GOG Galaxy in order to access the mods.

So I guess it's goodbye to some mods that I will never have an access to. Thanks for the info tho!

I have sent you a private message with an alternative mod downloading site. I tried to download some Darkest Dungeon mods there and it still works (as for June 14th 2022).

Thanks both of you! Honestly, I didn't know this was discussed before in the forum. That being said, the alternative site which you suggested works. :)

Sure, here's the link: http://steamworkshop.download/

Please note that the site does work sometimes, meaning there will also be times when it won't work. When that happens, you can wait and retry on a different day or try using a proxy while accessing the site.
