Glocon: Ok thanks, I didn't know that.
Navagon: Steam can run sales any time they want. But I don't know if GOG has the same level of control. I don't think they do.
Glocon: What happens, indeed, if a game I want is in sale on Steam but not on GOG? I could wait for a GOG sale but most people would, in a such situation, buy the game on Steam.
The result is that GOG looses a sale.
djdarko: I was wondering the same thing during the recent Steam Eidos sale, a price match policy would be a great idea.
However, it might be a lot more complicated than we think.
I don't know if GOG can do that, but it would be, in my opinion, a pretty good thing. I don't see any advantage of the actual system, neither for GOG or for us.
