I have been trying to get Steam to run through or via or whatever its called with GOG Platform. My Epic Launcher works fine but Steam is a real bugbear. I log in to Steam put in password then it asks for me to input a number code that has supposedly been sent to my email address for SteamGuard?? Anyway it never sends code through. It is definitely the right address as all my other Steam post is there (i.e. Receipts for purchases or notifications for price drops on wish list) but it never sends the Steam Guard codes through.

Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?
sorry, but i have no clue. maybe you need to send a mail to the steam help desk to figure out what is going wrong with your security code, once that works integration should work fine. i've myself have steam and many other launchers integrated with galaxy without any trouble at all
doesnt your steam guard uses the mobile steam client?
just check what it is set to

I usually get a Steam Guard check when logging into my account from a new device. Always arrived without issues though so no idea...

Probably pointless to say, but did you check spam/any filters you might have set up for your mail?

When I checked it was sending to email address so i tried to send it to my mobile instead only to find it was registered to a phone that went bye bye years ago. Might try to see if I can set it up with my current one

The Steam guard is in your Steam for Android mobile app and is an authenticator that is part of Steams 2-step verification process. You might want to contact Steam support to de-authenticate the Steam app on your old phone and move it over to a new phone. That is easiest to do when you have the old phone.

Tldr: contact Steam support.

Try using a different email address with Steam. I had the same issue -- I got some emails from Steam, but the Steam Guard verifications never came through on my "outlook.com" address. I updated my Steam account with a gmail address and it worked without issue.
