Good morning!

I have a new Steam Deck, and have managed to install GOG Galaxy 2.0 (although it was a fairly long process), but now I'm running into a weird problem: when Galaxy starts up and I go to log in I'm getting an Incorrect Password error every time. Thing is that the password is correct; I've not only tried changing it but used that same password to successfully log in here. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe the 2 factor credentials are holding you back?

Either that or set a weird keyboard layout? Maybe the "special characters" you use in your password aren't what you think they are? Is there an option to make the password visible while typing?

That's a great idea... hadn't even thought of that. Thank you!

I think it was the MFA... thanks for the help!

Not likely to ever get a steam deck. But incase anyone does, was it the 2 factor creds?

I'm guessing that it was, because that was the only thing I changed. 'course, there's always the possibility that it was just some weird, random bug but I hope not.
Well, folks have that to try at least.

Glad your system works for you :)

I didn't get this issue. Using Galaxy on the Deck is tricky too. You can install your games, but adding them to your Steam Library (so you don't have to separately load Galaxy every time, ot you can have customized controls for each individually, etc) is a pain. I stopped using Galaxy because I don't really care about Achievements, and wouldn't you know, due to a programming error in the game the first one I tried wouldn't work without Galaxy because of the achievements. They've since fixed it. Heroic works wonderfully if you don't need any special features. It will track your time if you want it to, and can use cloud saving, but it doesn't automatically sync for any of the games I've tried.

I'd definitely recommend Heroic with where it is now, and that's from someone who wouldn't use it before due to how it handled some things.
Just got my SD and same thing happened to me. Once I did disable the 2FA the login was instantly succesfull on the Steam Deck so that was def the thing causing the issue.
