How can me and my friend be able to play the game, since it doesn't show any online section?

If it has a multiplayer component (online) then it's probably a matter of you sharing IP addresses and port forwarding in order to connect. If not you are screwed.

As far as I know LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga has no online coop in PC version, only the splitscreen (see attached).

According to the internet the game had online option in XBOX.

As for the IP and port forwarding in general (out of scope of your game) I would add that you also need to have a proper public IP address, for instance if your external IP reads as 195.xxx.xxx.xxx there is no way for you to host a public server unless with the assistance of 3rd party software (e.g. Hamachi/LogmeIn), dedicated website or some other tool.

I am personally using Hamachi for games without proper servers or using VPN programs that can simulate one or two computers with LAN connection. Research this, it may help you.
