Austrobogulator: Someone needs to do some kind of age poll here :o

trentonlf: LOL, of course 42 is the answer
*sticks thumb out*

lowtechgeek: I don't get it.

As an unrelated question, to where have all the dolphins gone?

Uh oh .........
the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, the answer to life, the universe, and everything was the number 42
avatar
omegaunit: All I remember of Dungeon Master is failure and tanking purple worms while they got killed by doors repeatedly trying to close on them.
avatar
Tarnicus: Dungeon Master...I remember having so much fun learning the hard way, creating spells and potions(I think?) by experimentation. That game seriously kicked my arse but I loved it!
That reminds me of a shareware game from early 90's, called Nahlakh. Now if there were games that deserved a remake.. (+ maybe a bit more plot added ;)
Of a similar vein, I'm happy that the Exile games are free to play, and Avernums are purchasable on GoG.

Soccorro: yeah, until you run out of ammo, then it's sh*t.
avatar
expopower: That's the part of the game where you run around the dark like a headless chicken, screaming for a lamppost. =D
oh man iknow that too well. always got killed like 2 inches in front of it.
avatar
txnca: I'm 52 and have played them as well. Been a long time since I thought about the Mattel Football!
avatar
CatintheHeat: I knew in high school, I'd be playing video games the rest of my life. And true enough I like playing them now as much as then.
I still have a working hand-held mattel tank battles game. It was put out about the same time as the football game was.

txnca: When you mention SSI, I think of the AD&D Gold Box series of games. There were a lot of them. They started with Pool of Radiance then Curse of the Azure Bonds, Secret of the Silver Blades, and then Pool of Darkness and that was just the first series. There were several more series of these games. You could take your characters from lvl 1 and work them up to the highest lvl in the games which was 40 by transferring them into the next game of the series. I still have saved games for all of the games I played in those series.
These were before the Eye of the Beholder series of games. When SSI Stopped making the gold box series is when they started the EOB series.
Some of my favourite games, in particular the Champions of Krynn series. You guys are bringing back wonderful memories of lengthy gaming sessions where I used to finish games and share info and stories at school the next day. Definitely getting my GOG project post draft started today and this is the exact sentiment and energy I am wanting to continue the momentum of this sale to :) Stay tuned...

Wow!!
I'd like to buy a Sega Genesis system specifically for Road Rash. My favorite racing game of all time. Sega has three Road Rash games.
Please, someone buy all the remaining PIDs. I wanna go to sleep.
316 to go and it's slowing down. If only I didn't have 3 copies already I would totally buy another one XD
I knew that. And that has happened exactly as I expect. You did it on purpose GOG, right? Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space popped while I was sleeping. So no chance for me to grabbed it. I cannot expect that someone has spare code, can I? If ye, I would be very happy:) Thanks

CatintheHeat: How do you know you received a free game? I've bought a lot of games and nothing seems out of the ordinary.
avatar
Minerva14: a window will pop up after hitting the buy-button and you are told that it is free
Sir or madam? Just wanted to let you know that your English is fine. No difficulties in understanding you. As far as the game goes, if you're not able to get it I would suggest waiting for the next sale unless it's a high priority item. The series has been on sale here more than once and the summer sale is coming next month.
