IAmSinistar: Hmm, well, I just thought of "people who put deli mustard up their urethra for pleasure", but now I'm scared to search and see if it's real.

Shambhala: Hi handsome, want some mustard?
It's true! It's true! *sings* Sweet mystery of life, at last I've found you!
avatar
IAmSinistar: Really? You want them covered in GOG vomit? The internet exposes me to so many bizarre fetishes...
avatar
SpellSword: I don't even know how to respond to that! XD
By vomiting, probably.
Come on Kronos get a move on...i aint got all night....

Grargar: Hey now. I said jealous, not hateful of them. :P
avatar
skeletonbow: You don't want to eat their brains though? Even a little? ;oP
Why should I? Do I look like a zombie to you?
avatar
Gnostic: Or we can choose to gift people with a high rep? They get their rep for being helpful so should be rewarded
avatar
Tarnicus: Read this regarding rep :) http://www.gog.com/forum/general/mahayo/post51
Hmm... Maybe the best method is "Gift at your own discretion"?

Good morning to you, I think it's morning over there. :)

That's just plain creepy. D:

rosabonita: Could someone explain how the free games work? I never seem to get any free ones.
When you click the "Buy" button you have a random chance of getting a free game. Clicking it more than once won't increase your chances you only have 1 chance per-game. -_^

You'll know you've won a prize instantly as a screen saying "Hell Yeah" or something similar will appear. (I think.)

henchwench82: I'm back! I broke down and went to bed, still later than I should have. I only ended up missing one game off my wishlist (The Last Express) so I'm feeling pretty lucky. I was sure I'd wake up this morning and find everything I'd been waiting 2 days for would be gone ;)

I am also in the Zero Freebies club, ha ha. I've bought 5 games and gotten none free. But in fairness, I don't click on every game, only ones I'm interested in. So that probably diminishes my chances.
avatar
gallahad2000: Don't feel too bad, randomly clicking on everything that went by only netted me one freebie and it was a game I really wasn't interested in (11th hour). In retrospect I should have left it to someone who really wanted it :(.
I don't think you really "stole" it from anyone. I guess you roll a W50 or something and everytime it hits a 50, you get a freebie. One complete round could go with no freebie at all or only freebies. (Both of which would be unlikely, to be honest.)

psyciceman: Well if you know how to con yourself, wouldn't that make you harder to con (in theory). But trusting your gut tends to (at least in my case) be the right thing, sadly I only learnt to listen to my gut recently, but oh well.
Oh I'd probably be so good at conning myself that it wouldn't bother me that I was being conned as I'd be enjoying the interaction lol. It would take that much time and effort that it wouldn't be worth it on the part of the social engineer :)

Realising that no-one can take from me unless I am willing to give kinda leaves the ball in my court.

skeletonbow: Not I... I'm happy for them personally, it's always nice to see someone receive something unexpected and have it put a smile on their face. That's how I feel when it happens to me personally also. GOG is awesome to give such a new and more expensive game away, and they must have been thrilled to receive it, I know I would be. GOG prices are so good generally that they're practically giving many games away, plus they are actually giving many games away on top of that... then there is the tremendous generosity of a multitude of people in the GOG community. I find it hard to be jealous in a literal sense about anything here because there is so much good will going around that anyone who participates here will generally receive and hopefully offer good will as well. ;) Just be happy for others' good happenings, you'll have them from time to time too around here. :)

Also; consider how often GoG gives games away to everyone with promo's and such.
Hell, just signing up gets you quite a nice selection of freeware titles. I don't see GoG's rivals being as generous.
(I know Origin started giving away quite a lot but then again you do have to install origin so it doesn't really count :P)
meta +1?
Or would that be +2?

(or should I be fancy and do

I fully agree with that post. Get a little human interaction before gifting a game and don't just dump a code in the forums.

Yeah, that is akin to selling your soul to the devil for a few more years of life. :P
