Artoemius: So, how long was the original Keaning anyway? I've seen people citing 4.5 hours, but that's not so impressive since it has already been surpassed by Time Commando in this round. Was Jack really the most Keaneous of all Keanes?
The Keaning was something like five hours, if I recall, but it struck either late at night (UK time) or early in the morning and became a really long, dry spell. It should be remembered more for bringing out the best in the forum, which rose admirably to the challenge and exceeded it.

anibal: Waiting for two games that I sadly missed on the prior rounds. Just to be sure I get them:
As soon as I press Buy Now, they are mine? Or do I have to complete the checkout?
Just to know how fast I have to be.
Thanks!
Avernum finsished between me clicking buy and typing in my card details I think it's safe once you've clicked buy.

krisbeattie: I feel pretty silly buying Gomo for $8 for my GF a few months back now that ive watched it on sale for $1.59 forever now

sharp299: you should not feel guilty about it, you did it for love, that's not a waste, your girlfriend could play it before. :)

Does anyone else reload the main page just to watch the bar go down, in the hopes that the momentum of it will knock the remaining games off?

Alien8n: I nearly broke my hand a year ago (popped the knuckle on my little finger and tore the tendons as far as I can tell) and made the discovery that I'm immune to every painkiller that can be bought with a prescription. Including codeine :/

Thankfully I also have a high pain threshold. As discovered over the course of several tattoos over the last 25 years...

Tarnicus: I've got a decent pain threshold - full contact sparring, thinking my fists were made of steel when I was younger and multiple dental extractions where I could feel everything and also a similar naturally high tolerance to opiates and benzodiazepines.

Having atypical trigeminal neuralgia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trigeminal_neuralgia) was the worst pain I've ever experienced well and truly! There is a reason it is known as the suicide disease. Painkillers are useless on it and I was a guinea pig for anti-convulsants which were horrid so I tried to put up with it. Fortunately since I got lucky with 1 medication I haven't had it return since 2010 I think it last was.
That looks disturbingly familiar :/

In the past (when I was about 18) I used to get pain in my skull that literally felt like my skull was splitting open. So bad I'd actually end up punching myself or banging my head against walls to alleviate it.

More recently I get a recurring pain that seems to be centred where I guess the optic nerve is attached to the eye, always on one side only, and can only be described as feeling like someone has set fire to my retina :/

Nope. Just this thread.

Yeah it's therapuetic just watching it zoom down.

Back to where it was 10 minutes ago

... for 100 copies.
Wow, 5 hours for 100 copies, that's impressive indeed!

I swear, Gomo has shot past Goslo to a complete Nogo.

I can confirm that after you click buy and proceed with your transaction id, the game stays reserved for you couple of minutes at least, even if the sale ends and next game is on. In my case it was around 5minutes into next game iirc.

To put it in perspective, Time Commando sold 100 copies/hour.

Try to dislodge me from the internet, eh? That explains why I'm surrounded by cache.

BlackThorny: did she like it? I'm thinking about it for my girlfriend too, is there any dialouge in this game?
She wasnt a huge fan. She became addicted to Edna & Harvey, Deponia & Whispered World and thought Gomo was way too easy in comparison and stopped playing it. Said it was fun at first but just too simple.
