I'm about to log off. Is someone interested in Disciples 1 +2, drm-free on Gamersgate? If so, I'd gladly exchange it against Cognition.

Tarnicus: Yes. Being raised in a violent environment unfortunately wasn't the best influence on learning how to interact with other human beings when conflict arose. I usually took it out on myself but did take it out physically on others at the worst of times. That is one of the most difficult lessons I've had to take responsibility for this lifetime. I am very fortunate not to even have a caution to my name at 37 given how I was from 18 to 22. The universe/god/random events or however you wish to look at it put some very challenging experiences my way to help show me who I was or how I was behaving. Hence you'll hear me say that I have learned not to regret my past experiences but try to learn from them, even if it takes multiple loops of experiencing the same lesson until it sinks in.

Martial arts training, in particular full contact sparring was one of the best things I ever did. It helped me to learn to control my fear and anger response, as my fight or fight response(not flight) seems to be more overactive than most people I've met. Full contact sparring is also a great release for inner shit, the best form of exercise I've found :)
That's all very sad, I'm sorry to hear that you had such traumatic experiences. But at least you found enough motivation and will to move away/ past from those negative influences and experiences and become a person that releases/ manages anger and frustration, and thus handles conflicts, in non-harming/ positive ways - that's no small achievement.

With this background info, I'm willing to bet that the look in your eyes is a direct result of your transition.
Not to mention that you proved me right - because of your past experiences and your journey to overcome them, you're a person incapable of (or at least resistant to) causing harm, so I'm not taking back what I said. ;-)

Tarnicus: Thanks for the compliment :) Katoomba is 10 minutes by train or a 1.5 hour very brisk walk if you're keen along the highway lol I think you're the first person on GOG who has visited the beautiful area of the world I live in :) If you ever come here again, I'll happily take you(as I have with other tourists) to really see the mountains. Having a guide who knows the land and its creatures is handy, and I love to walk and talk and be with nature.

mc_leod: Thanks for the invitation it was a pity that we had not to much time in the area (of course 3 sisters but also done the not so crowded pulpit rock trail) - we were 6w in Australia (sydney-melbourne then domestic to cairns and down to brissie) the Blues were definetely something to be done also a second, third time.
- hehe hope you dont get now hordes of gog guys storming the area.
I find having an open timetable when travelling works best for me as I don't want to leave an area if there is more I'd like to do there, so I'm generally pretty random with my travels, which makes for exciting journeys.

All of GOG are welcome to come for a tour. Showing tourists the film Wolf Creek before going on a walk ensures everyone is on their best behaviour :P

lippy: I find it ironic that the background picture for a video game sale - which is almost exclusively an indoor activity - is a picnic with assorted outdoor recreational gear.
The only way that gamers may see it? :)

lol and I'm so hyperfocused on the counter that I failed to notice that!
Well the idea is to have a background that does not distract from the main attraction. Mission accomplished.

Sq2: Thanks, I never saw Smugglers V, which must be why I didn't see Trine II.

; - ) I've picked up all I wanted, which included a few off my wishlist and of course others...so if I don't get Trine II I predict I'll live!
Maybe because Trine 2: Complete Story was the last game in round two?

As other said, there's a good chance it comes after Smugglers V, but we don't know when that's going to be up.
I just bought Grimrock and I don't know why. I already have too many games and dungeon crawlers aren't my favorite genre!!!!
So is this round looking to be pairs as well - random pairs, but pairs nonetheless?

They aren't mine either. As a matter of fact, the only one that really comes to mind that I enjoyed beyond any reasonable measure was Shining the Holy Ark. That said, Grimrock is awesome.

That may change... ;)
Anyone have a guess at what's next after Grimrock?

Some random pair if I understood correctly.
