Hehehehe, I can't believe this thread is still ongoing. I'm just glad I picked up the games I did in the Insomnia Promo, because their prices were so much better then than they were this week. (Un)fortunately I already have all the gog games I want from Anuman, so I have nothing to buy this weekend!

You'll have to make do with playing some of your purchases over the weekend. I know it's not quite on par with buying games, at least for us Insomniacs, but it's almost as much fun. ;)

lol, shall we call it a different kind of fun? Anyway, I'm still trying to get everything I bought downloaded, but at least I have had 1 run at being a queen and have started Episode 1 of Cognition. My queen didn't exactly live all that long though, week 32 and she died of poisoning - by chocolate!! Now if that isn't a cruel way to kill someone, I don't know what is. I much prefer the real life experience I had this week - my brother brought me a big Toblerone all the way from Switzerland! Now that is yummy!!

Yes, I certainly do enjoy buying games, but I enjoy playing them even more!
So I've been having some fun with Hammerwatch. Even took it over to my homie's house and we wound up doing coop all night. Good stuff, it's basically everything I ever wanted Gauntlet to be but couldn't since it started life as a coin sucking arcade.

Guess I need to try Hammerwatch next then, loved Gauntlet (and boy did it take my lunch money in the form of quarters lol)
Nice to see this thread is still going strong. :-)

I added Syberia and Still Life 2 to my collection this weekend, to complete the sets I started during Insomnia. I also bought Dragon Lore, Post Mortem and the Dracula Trilogy. I bought a couple of games for gifts, not realising that they would come on one Gift Code, so another email to Support is in order!

I will actually start playing some of these games I'm buying at some point. (If I just keep telling myself that, it might actually happen one day!)

My plan is to install Shelter this weekend to keep my mini-me occupied next week whilst I'm at work and she's off school (many thanks once again to IAmSinistar for the gift during the promo). For me, Cognition and Long Live The Queen (my gratitude goes to foxworks for this one) are next up. :-)

No lie, the game is good and if you got more people to play with even better! The soundtrack is sick too, had the bonus level music stuck in my head for a week now. Paladin needs food, badly!

I find it odd that if you want to buy 5 copies of a game so can give 4 away as gifts you have to do 5 transactions.

It's a pain that you can't purchase two or more copies of a single game at one time, but to purchase two different games that you already own and get them both on one gift code seems rather silly too me. Perhaps we should add this to the 'Site Experiences' thread that's currently running.

I'd never bought gift codes before the Insomnia promo so it didn't occur that multiple games on a single transaction would be merged into a 'gift bundle'. I've emailed Support to ask if they can split my Post Mortem and Dragon Lore games into separate codes for me. I also bought a copy of MegaRace 1 & 2 and MegaRace 3 that also merged into one code but as I was planning to give them away as a pair anyway I wasn't too bothered about it.

Unfortunately, you're not the only one frustrated by GOG's lack of an option to separate a multi-game giftcode. Here is what Judas said on that matter:

Thanks for the link!
Was annoying during the sale as my bank froze my card until I called them and straightened out it was really me buying multiple things on this site. I understand their reasoning, just annoying.

Thanks Grargar. I've had a quick skim through and will read more thoroughly later as I've got to go to work now. It seems from what I have read that I need to register my objections on the site feedback system. now that I can do! :-)

It's a perfect game for Gauntlet fans. Right down to the Gauntlet tribute level hidden away in there. I plan on playing it through again with another character type.

madeaj: Call me crazy but I like to initially play games in order. Yeah GOG!
In the case of Syberia and Syberia 2 I would strongly recommend playing them in order as they are two parts of the same story.
