That's why they are the same pair of underpants. I'm not sure why you put the pencils in your nostrils, that wasn't part of the plan.

I have constantly gotten 10MB/s stable for all games at all times using linux, python, web, galxay1.0 and galaxy2.0 and im in a crappy rural midwest murica podunk nothing city with spit and aluminum foil connecting me to the internet.

Where are you, and what are you doing on your network... also, run some speed tests at fast.com, dslreports.com/speedtest, and testmy.net and report numbers.

Then check modem DOCSIS errors and look at signal levels.... its not GOG, cause these numbers are from local and VPN from a continent away.. and I was FASTER on VPN

That’s odd then. In UK I have never got more than 4mbs on fastest network. I can have up to 6 parallel downloads, but they never total more than 4mbs. I would guess there is some capping done somewhere along the the line. Still only takes an hour or two to download big games though (just talking roughly as not at home to be more precise). That’s using Firefox straight download of offline installers. I don’t use downloaders or galaxy.

wpegg: I agree it could, and to be competitive probably should be faster, but I feel you're being a little overdramatic about it. From what I've read about 5G, it's not something that could be reasonably compared right now, most reports still label it as prototype, nobody says it's ready. I'm not sure if it's the GOG servers or just the UK broadband networks struggling to cope with load over the christmas period (keep in mind a lot of people just got 28GB christmas gifts).

Anyway - in about 3 hours you'll have your game and this whole experience can be in the past. Enjoy, I'm going to have another go at #2 before trying #3.
From what I saw on a bbc report was that even in central London 5g is still a myth, even 4g is limited. And you need antenna every 5 meters to make it work (note, some exagerattion there). Unfortunately for the foreseeable future we are all in the grip of BT (Bloody Terrible provider) who monopolise the whole thing.

I just tried downloading the Submarine Titans installer (using the Chrome browser), and I got about 15MB/s download speed. I didn't try Galaxy as I am not using it.
