Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

mortalkombat: play the first 2 for what? story-wise? I wasnt interested in the story....
if i liked ME3. i would play then 1 and 2.
i played that game (at least was going to) for the RPS game-style
until the control system discouraged me and gave up...

tammerwhisk: I never played 3, but I always found with the first two that there is no point in playing except for the story. The gameplay is very bland with every area being more chest high walls, just different textures.
Occasionally, the game stepped outside of that and the action really came through. I can remember a few moments, especially in some of the DLC.

Pounding my way through the baddies to get rescued before hurtling into the sun at the end of Arrival was one of those moments. Sniping Collector monstrosities in their ship in the first game. Beating a path through the Geth across the outside of the Citadel. Everything about Kasumi's recruitment mission. Fighting off an attacking gunship through the windows of Garrus' apartment on Omega.

Most of the time it was fairly humdrum but the action absolutely had its moments.

c_anthony: You are aware that it doesn't exist, right?

mrking58: Wait? You are lying I have seen it
After finishing up Leisure Suit Larry 3, Al Lowe started work on Leisure Suit Larry 4 and it was a nightmare. The ending to the third game was very much that, an ending. A coworker of his inspired him though, and rather than make a direct sequel, he canned Leisure Suit Larry 4 and began work on Leisure Suit Larry 5 instead.

Leisure Suit Larry 4 was never finished, and the small portion of it that they had begun work on was never released to the public.

So no, you haven't seen it.
I find myself doing the ole sports cheer.
"Go away Larry, go way! /clap /clap

Can't be much more. Will this be the end?
For those still waiting on some games, I hope Wargame: European Escalation won't come along again.

100 copies took 31 minutes yesterday.

Let's hope they don't try to sell Jack Keane and Omerta again
I can't believe that I spent an entire day sitting here for this special promo O_O I'm getting a headache but I can't stop checking..I'm addicted -___-

Hopefully I will be able to get what I want before my eyes get swollen...Jack Keane 2 wasted 5 hours of my life and hopefully there wont be another round.
don't u think some people could hack the scripts to place orders as soon as a new game pops up?

Well to be fair I guess ME1 did have some moments that I really enjoyed. Disliked the way EA milked story dlc, so my cheapness probably kept me from experiencing some of the better segments.
It's nice to see a Sierra game going for this low. I wasn't sure if GoG could pull that off after Activision became the new publisher of the entire Sierra franchise.

Easy grab for me.

You're way late to the party, earlier today/last night 100 copies of Jack Keane 2 took 4.5 hours to sell.

But that was Jack Keane. The guy is a legend among GoGers by now.
