Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea

justanoldgamer: I'm finally passed the point where I know for sure I'm not buying anything else. My last impulse buy was Brutal legend.
Of the games left, there is only 2 that I don't own: Jade Empire and Psychonauts, and I have very little interest in both.

Now I'm waiting to see how the sale will end. I'd kind of like to see the first Jake Kean offered for free for a day or two.
Psychonauts is absolutely amazing; seriously, it's worth trying at that price.
Damn, this King of Dragon Pass actually looks fairly decent, considering it's reviews and my love for rpgs. A weird thought, but no one around has could grab it for a trade of some sort? I'd love to try it out, but I am broke already for a week or 2 to come ...
Second and last guess: Sacred Gold and Giana Sisters

If all of their games were on sale, I'd maybe sorta agree.

Aye, except no Steam for me with this game. It must be the GoG version, or none at all!

beyondinfinate: So to those whom have experienced King of Dragon Pass, how is the game? I liked what I saw about it but i watched some gameplay and it looked boring, like Civ w/o the map screen, what other titles does it resemble?
It's a very good game. It looks fairly simple at first glance, but it actually has quite deep mechanics. You start with a vulnerable village and a handful of lackluster council members to handle specific problems. As you and your council grow more experienced, you can tackle obstacles of increasing difficulty to make your people safer, more prosperous and happier.

The setting is a lot more interesting than boring old earth as in Civ. There is heroic lore about gods and heroes to learn that will actually influence your ultimate goal of becoming King of Dragon Pass, because your council members need to re-enact the god stories of your clan.

There's an astonishing amount of random events that may occur that may bring good or ill to your town. But things don't 'just happen,' you actively get to choose how to handle those problems and your council members will give you advice about it. Some of these choices will have lasting consequences and what seems like a good choice at first may come back to bite you in the arse much later. But always in a sensible way.

It's a very odd blend of city building sim, political sim, turn based strategy game, old school text adventure and roleplaying game, but it works. There's really nothing quite like this game. I highly recommend it.
My collection is now complete; I've got everything I wanted!

Yesterday: 10 minutes before I had to leave for work, Resonance pops up. Finish my 8 hour shift, come home to Theme Hospital waiting for me. After playing the latter (as well as Ultima VII and both Underworlds) for a little bit, I'm so torn as to which I should complete first, I'm not gonna bother waiting for Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

Everyone, it's been fun, but I'm gonna get some much needed rest. Enjoy the rest of the sale!
Dragon Pass is selling faster than any other game, is it good or something?

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,

One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them,
One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

Tribute to J.R.R Tolkien
I’d barely heard of GOG until just recently, I created an account to get a copy of Wasteland 1 The Original Classic. I love the GOG website, so easy to use (as compared to Steam, which I find borderline incomprehensible).

Then I got an email from GOG about this Fall Sale, and I’ve been watching the sale at nearly all hours since a few hours after it started. I originally only planned on purchasing Leisure Suit Larry, but ended up with:

Leisure Suit Larry
Sniper Elite
System Shock 2
Ultima Underworld 1 + 2
Wing Commander Privateer

Plus, from the weekend sale (not as good bargains as the Fall Sale, but still I couldn't resist) :
SimCity 2000
Syndicate Plus

And, due to the generosity of the awesome GOG community I was gifted:
The Witcher
Duke Nukem 3D
(Thanks again to you two :)!)

The main thing which restricted me from purchasing twice (or more!) as many games is the fact that I’m on a Mac so I can’t play the windows-only games!!

I love GOG, and I love you guys, the great GOG community! :)

I appreciate that....but I haven't given up yet :) (I know I can get it at Steam if nothing else). I hope to get back in an hour....and this thing may still be going strong! :)
