Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****

kcrabb: GOG is probably reading our posts and are like, "people want neverwinter 1, jade empire, and the thief games the most. We'll save them for last."
lol I said that to a friend when some of us here wanted Planescape, and then Planescape appeared and sold very fast.

SpiderFighter: Ah, sorry. I might have, but I've been too busy watching the sale and juggling the text files with the lists on them. :P
We've had FFT on the PSX and PSP here though.

Schemilix: Yeah, we only got the PSP version, which is what I quoted. I replayed with the original PSX translation recently via emulator and got some voice acting in (and then some friends for more voice acting). What a train wreck of a script! It was funny though. Defeat Dycedarg's elder brother and all that...
For all the hundreds and hundreds of hours I put into that game, I don't think I ever finished the ending. I usually get bogged down doing the Deep Dungeon stuff.

nijuu: Out of curiosity are you guys mainly buying stuff for yourselves, gifts or for trading? ;)
Buying? I thought we were voting! Do you mean I've been paying for stuff all this time? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Me either, now that you mention it!

Buenro-games: I am 100% sure that is the truth. Some people here though refuse to believe me. They are probably stroking a cat right now with the pinky finger in their mouths and laughing about it.

SpiderFighter: It's why I haven't posted what I want...but KB is the first one that's appeared anyway this round, so I guess it didn't matter. :P
They are probably using their fancy algorithms and stuff. and... and... and...

(gosh, I am losing my sanity here)
Anyone here with a HoMM5 key?

nijuu: Out of curiosity are you guys mainly buying stuff for yourselves, gifts or for trading? ;)
I bought 2 games only, Sacred Gold, which I got in the first round, and Heroes of Might and Magic 5 yesterday, after waiting 5 hours for it... been tempted to get a few of these as gifts since I have a lot of these games in this sale...
Ok, feeling good about the 30 or so games I've gotten so far during this sale, but what about Armored Princess?

I love tbs, HOMM, but I already have Armored Princess vanilla and all the expansions except this one (got them all in bundles). Does this really deserve my $5 of blood money?

some gifting and I enjoy this thread too. Also maybe with dumb luck ill hit a free game that I don't have which is next to nil anyways.
So alright, a lot of people posting on this thread are from europe. Just wondering how most of you write better English than native English speakers? Did you guys learn it in school or are you from the UK/North America? Just curious.

I picture them more as Dr. Claw, myself.

I loved Midlight's Deep actually. Even if I was cheap as fuck and used T.G. Cid for it. These days I give Excalibur to Meliadoul for feminist power. She's boss.

I have what my friend calls a 'raging Templar boner', for the real ones... so these guys with their demonic possession, sweet armour and crazy sword skills, while inaccurate to the real ones, are just great.

MGShogun: I don't think I have never met sale that can crush my soul like this one. :(
Same. :(

I just want the Thief games and Jade Empire! ARGH!

Keane's curse be upon ye wicked GOG demons!
