This is the official thread for reporting suspicious activity on the forums. If you see any bots breaking the rules by spamming, advertising, posting shady links to weird websites - report them here! Moderation Team will do their best to keep such posts to a minimum but, as you might imagine, it's impossible to keep an eye on every single thread 24/7. That's why we need your help, anti-spam force! :)

Big kudos to everyone who created and contributed to the unofficial thread!

Only report bot accounts/spam in this thread. Its purpose is not to report other users. If you see a user who you believe is breaking the rules, message Staff privately instead.

It's just a domain squatter's spot, those places are piles of filth not from the content themselves, but the hellads they put on them.

DyNaer: The problem seems such accounts are created asap the ones are closed and If The Moderation Team acts manually vs the bots i have some doubts it would be effective...
They've been playing whack-a-mole since the start, which is not a systemic solution. No matter how many of them you bonk with a hammer, more will pop up. Something fully automated won't be beaten by repetitive manual action.

Also, the fact that a bot posted in the spam/bot report thread and goes free shows just how futile this all is. GOG is obviously on a target list somewhere so this will keep happening unless some preventative measures are put in place. Let's just hope they don't do "closing the general forum" as said measure.

I know this bot was reported nearly 24 hours ago but obviously nothing has been done about it. Please GOG put some kind of block in place to stop the continual flooding of the forums, surely it can't be that difficult?
