It might be interesting to update "raptorsetup" which is in the above repository: [removed by mod]

Enjoy! ;)

It would be best to remove the links to another store front.

Dude, I took a look at the general rules, and I didn't see any clause that prevents links to other stores, besides, links to Steam are everywhere in the general forum and subforums, and I've never seen any moderator speak out about it.

So you checked:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_regulations

But then didn't click the link to the full regulations.

2.18. Gambling and selling (including real-life or in-game trading), advertising,
referrals, links to other stores, auctioning or engaging in any other commercial
activities – unless specifically permitted by GOG;
Hey I remember you. You are the person who posted:

I must agree that most of the users on the main forum are retarded and toxic. Subforum users are better, so I suggest GOG keep subforums for each game and close the main forum. I didn't want to have to vote on this, but I will have to for the good of the GOG service.
And half of your past forum threads have been pushing shady malware or pirated software.

Maybe you should read those forum regulations more carefully.

I would say all. But yes. THAT user!

As I said, I read the general rules of the topic, not "what is tolerated or not", so it's not about inattention, it's about quick reading. In any case, if the last link in the main post breaks the rule, it will be removed. =)

About pirated software... I disagree, posting a game from the 90s that isn't for sale anywhere isn't piracy, it's just abandonware/fair use. I have never posted malware, if you say so, be an honorable person and prove it!

Well, most users are what I wrote, with the exception of a few... There are a lot of good people here; but there are many others that are a waste of time. And you seem to be trying to prove the thesis.

Edit: Now do yourself a favor, and stay focused on the topic, deviating from the topic is also breaking the rules, and this is written in the general rules topic you posted. I think you were also not "paying attention", which is why you started digging poll comments and talking nonsense about piracy and malware.

Hey SilentMRG! Sorry, but I had to remove the links from your post - "abandonware" is legally a very grey zone. Please refrain from posting links to it on our Forum. Continuing to do so might result in suspensions from the Forum.

I don't know what the previous link was. This link is clean, however:
https://github.com/skynettx/raptor

It contains no assets (it requires you to have the data from the shareware or, preferred, full version) top lay it.

This is like many other engine re-implementations that require original files to operate (e.g., MechVM, ScummVM, KeeperFx, eduke, etc; plenty here; many based on reverse-engineering like the Raptor and not original game source, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_game_engine_recreations)
You need the original assets (GLB files) from Raptor Call Of The Shadows v1.2 shareware or full version. Important only the DOS version v1.2 is compatible! You have to take care of these files yourself.
Is the GOG version I have in my library, "Raptor: Call of the Shadows 2010 Edition", the DOS one, or a later Windows port?

The DOS version was never released on GOG.

What are you talking about exactly?! I didn't mention "abandonware", the links are from github and there are no game assets in it, as it is just a source port, an "engine" so to speak that runs the game assets better, but for that, it is necessary that the person has the assets, something that is not provided in the links you removed. The first link is from the game creator himself revealing his next project, that is, the remake of Raptor - Call of the Shadows, and no games are being offered illegally, obviously. Your attitude was somewhat thoughtless, I'm sure you didn't check the links before removing. And the source code of both projects is available on github, anyone verify: it’s not about illegal software, malware or "abandonware".

One of the links is this, the other is "raptorsetup" which improves the game controls, just an open source project from github, no game assets. Finally, the first link is to the game creator's website, where he talks about the remake of the Raptor, there's even a demonstration video. Honestly, I don't understand this thoughtless action by Mr. "king"_kunat.

Well, I think there was a lack of interpretation on your part, Mr. "King", I believe you read this above and thought I was talking about Raptor, no, it wasn't about him, it was about another game. I suggest that next time you read all the posts carefully and check the links before removing, only then will you understand the essence of the topic, as reading part of a post and removing the links without checking first is an unfair action.
