liquidsnakehpks: what's wrong with Uncharted series ? all the games in the series so far are excellent
2 things for me; I've played maybe 2 hours of the first game and dropped the entire series.

1) Too linear, with too much environmental puzzles that are just busywork.
2) Nathan Drake (i think that's right...) is an asshole and i just don't like him, nor do i want to play him.
I don't get it this thread.
At all.

What am I missing? I feel dumb :(

i loved it specially the second and third game , i was pretty amused that someone such as me who was a late comer to the console games was hooked on uncharted , the real icing on the cake was when tomb raider adopted the same gameplay style on the reboot

I love my PS4, and every game listed I have played and enjoyed except for Star Wars (I have not tired it yet), but everyone's taste is different.

I just finished a playthrough of the tomb raider reboot and was thinking it was a lot like Uncharted, it's no wonder I really enjoyed it :)

Okay maybe I'm the only one on this planet who finds this funny.

But lets just say, I don't think I'm totally convinced to buy a PS4 right Sony. :)

The marketing campaign pretty much did the opposite of what they intended, for me, like unadvertised it.

Its fine that you are not sold on the console but i don't think anyone would find your experience amusing it would be amusing If they threatened to beat you up with the ps4 console till you bought it .

I'm pretty sure there's a FIFA 16 bundled one as well, hope that convinced you to get one! :P
I'll only buy a PS4 if a new Harvest Moon game comes out for it.

Personally, it's a bit uninspired I'd say. The shooting is very by the books without any unique features, and the platforming is extremely linear and unchallenging. It's less like platforming and more like walking down a very winding hallway.

I really liked the first game, adored the second, and never finished the third. I don't think that one was worse than the others, I just couldn't muster any interest for the "heavily scripted cover-based third-person shooter" genre.

Did you really expect your gaming tastes to be universally liked? There is a reason why does games are being used to sell the machines. If anything is funny, it is your lack of understanding...which is a bit amusing.

bad_fur_day1: I guess not everyone is going to get it. Trying to sell me a PS4 with the most cringe worthy list of games ever? Nothing? :P
It might be borderline amusing if you're actually in the market for a PS4 and would have bought one had they advertised other games for it.

Me too, only got a PS3 5-6 months ago, now the new system came out. Played Uncharted 1-3 straight off, thought 1 was good, 2 was the best and 3 disappointing in a lot of ways (particularly the forced fight sequences). Not a bad series though, and enjoyed Tomb Raider thereafter as well. Ok, I let the chap throttle Lara a few times a she was very annoying most of the way through, and there are some ridiculous bits (think, creeping along behind a large congregation of enemies with a high powered assault rifle only to cut scene to here shooting someone with a bow and arrow, who da clever bunny then, bits like that really annoy me) but generally speaking, good and was looking forward to the sequel, which seems to not be PS3 - typical!
Yeah, because those games are best sellers on the console(one series being exclusive) so of course they'll try to sell you the system with those games.
Like Microsoft is trying to make me buy an Xbox One with Halo,Gears of War,Forza, the Backwards Compatibility Program,CoD and Battlefront. That's marketing 101.

Yes, you are. So they turned you off with their selection. On the other hand they surely reached thousands of gamers with a more mainstream taste than yours ... which is what such campaigns are for. It may surprise you, but Sony doesn't exclusively sell to you, but to an as broad as possible customer base. I.e. mainstream. And the games you cited are successful mainstream games. Sony doesn't care a single bit about what your personal tastes are. They care about numbers and you simply don't matter to them.

tinyE: "Poor Bastards" isn't name calling, it's a phrase used to express sympathy. You'll hear the same thing during war movies, "Those poor bastards never stood a chance."
They also feature drill instructors telling recruits they're filthy maggots, but even though they shed a tear when one of them dies (and no one is looking), it's still name-calling. :P
